even though I created the poll, I found it hard to choose one story line. so I went with TSN ratings as they are a refection of many of the other positives listed.
It would have to be TSN's ratings. Did we honestly think CFL would be this popular coming out of the dark age of the 90s. I remember in the late 90s and in one of the games broadcasted by TSN, one of the broadcasters asked if the CFL will fold after 2000. How things have changed.

I, for one, would like to cast my vote for the Montreal Alouettes' ability to sell out a 20,000-seat stadium.

Me, I thought about the second failure of a franchise in Ottawa with the attendant circus that came to be the Gliebergoofs before the team actually folded. At that point, you wondered if the league itself might not be that far behind.
Tell me how long must a fan be strong? Ans. Always.
I voted for the Lions, would have voted for the riders but that has really only been the last 4-5 years

The story without a doubt is the tv ratings. This equates to the health of the league.. in the nineties who could have even imagined such a resurgence? Individual teams resurge while others go down all the time.. but as a whole league, that trumps them all.
The TV ratings are nice but they're a one-year statistical oddity due to the change in methodology. There's no trend so they can't be compared to previous seasons. The end of Edmonton's amazing playoff streak is the league's story of the decade.
