Nope, we're three points back of both Ssk and Cgy so the Nov 7 Ssk/Cgy game would have to end in tie just like they did last week. Otherwise one of them will be at least five points up on us and we won't be able to catch whoever that is with only two games left, regardless of what else happens.Ravi wrote:If the Lions win their final two games, they still have a good chance at a home playoff game. In fact, all they would need at that point is a Saskatchewan victory over Calgary. I am sure that Wally will be emphasizing this week that a playoff spot still has to be clinched.B.C.FAN wrote:If you want to point fingers after such a close game, there are many options. Blaming the officials is the least classy, and cheapens the value of the product. It was a great game. The Riders made a good play at the end to blitz Printers and leave the safety free. Printers misread it and threw the ball into coverage. The outcome had nothing to do with the officials. I wouldn't even blame Printers, who played well for someone who had been out of football all year. I just hope the Lions don't have a letdown now that their hopes for a home playoff game are slipping away.
If that game doesn't end in a tie we are eliminated from 1st no matter what else happens, but we may already be relegated to no better than third, never mind first or second by the time that game rolls around.
Edit: sorry, I just re-read what you wrote, at first I thought you said we still have a good chance at first. I stand corrected.
