Great to see the Leos in "the" uniform. IMHO one of the best uniforms in pro sports. I hope they go back to them and ditch the A&W look. And agreed. Get rid of the piping. That kind of trim should only be worn at The Grand Ol' Oprey.

The two best retro uniforms this weekend were the Lions and Alouettes, by a country mile.

That fruity piping on so many of the new unis is beyond awful. I blame Nike for starting it all, and of course now Reebok has taken it up. I also hate that "Rollerball" font on the numbers on some of the new jerseys - give me that good old fashioned block numbering.

Thought they all looked great, except Hamilton and Winnipeg looked like they were wearing home and aways of the same uniform. I wasn`t sure at first which team was which. If they make retro week a tradition, maybe they can think ahead about not having the two teams with the most similar uniforms playing each other.

Yeah, that was retro-weak.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.
