I know we all got lots to do and 'Boxing Month' Sales to go to but I try to catch a lot of these 'Bowls' (especially the early Jan. ones). I don't know how many of these will be on TSN/Sportsnet.
here's TSN's schedule:
http://tsn.ca/ncaa/feature/?fid=8888&hubname=
(I'm already spotting some discrepancies between the two lists but it's a start

I really really hope TSN covers the International bowl, for goodness sakes it's in Toronto.

I snuck a peek on the TSN list of Bowls and I don't think its on there. I can't figure out why either. Maybe its on some other Canadian Channel? Sportsnet didn't seem to have any listed but I didn't poke around the site too much.Lions_Fan_4_Life wrote:I really really hope TSN covers the International bowl, for goodness sakes it's in Toronto.
Why would a bowl hosted by Toronto not be shown in Canada? Okay you want to sell it out first but show it out of the usual blackout area.

The Salad Bowl was held in Phoenix, AZ from 1948 to 1952. It was a precursor to the present Fiesta Bowl (according to Wikipedia).Bosco wrote:What, no Cereal or Salad Bowl?![]()
Just about every other Bowl is accounted for.

What is TSN Alternate Feed? I've never heard of it.notahomer wrote:I know we all got lots to do and 'Boxing Month' Sales to go to but I try to catch a lot of these 'Bowls' (especially the early Jan. ones). I don't know how many of these will be on TSN/Sportsnet.

I'm waiting for the Toilet Bowl.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.
Me neither.Lions4ever wrote: What is TSN Alternate Feed? I've never heard of it.
As for future bowls what about the Popcorn Bowl co-sponsored by TO and Casey Printers. The TV ad could be shown with Printers running around with three Dlineman breathing down his neck and throwing a bomb to TO.

Seriously, the Vanier Cup and the CIS in general (besides UBC and SFU 'cause they're in Vancouver) is boring IMO because you can't watch all the games on TV, and don't really know any players names unless you're a hardcore fan.
The NCAA on the other hand? I could watch one game all year and probably know the team's starting offence before starting the game because of all the coverage.
