Ummm Darrell Davis and Rob Vanstone, love them or hate them, are two of the most respected sports journalists in the country, especially when it pertains to CFL football. Any major book or publication about the CFL and its history has usually included input from them. Furthermore, sure Sask. aint big, but if you're insinuating we dont have good journalism because we are small market, Ive picked up the Vancouver Sun and the Province...they are not heads and shoulders better than any city paper. WHo are you kidding? Vancouver's local media is no better than any other local media...oh I forgot about that award-winning Farhan Lalji....ROTFLMAO.

Your kidding right Rob Vanstone isn't respected by Rider fans let alone the rest of the country. And Darrell Davis out side of Saskatchewan how knows who he is?

As for Vancouver's local media lets face facts, this year there have been two CFL related books released and both books used Vancouver media people to do the ghost writing,. I have both and neither mention Darrell Davis or Rob Vanstone, not even a review on the back cover.

Based on the truth of your post above maybe you should be part of the Saskatchewan media.

I agree, it's only a game and it's the game that should be focused on. Not crying about what is going on off the turf.

Just look at what "ilovetheriders" sent me in a pm... ->"u *frig* retard it was Wally who started it...moron...smoke some more green *beep*"

Thats very tough of you to send it in a pm.
At least he/she is consistant. He is the PM I got.

My response to this is simple. Vulgarity is the tool of those losing an argument and the weak minded. Which is ilovetheriders, you be the judge.

Your mama is a dirty player, zarquon?

Too funny. I hope we don't have any fans like that.
Enough is enough.

So I see Joshua referred to this dude as Rod...I assume Rod Pederson..if that's the case, you're a class act buddy. Respected? Give me a break....you're a clown, as is Carteri. Try talking about the gsame instead of working the Rider clones into a frenzy over irrelevant crap as you have done all week.

You must be proud., Bu hey, at least the built in excuses are there already!!! :)

I'm taking my dad to the game tomorrow (today I guess) and we will be at the tail gate. You can ask him.

I've been in the media for 15 years, it was a draw. The fact that Wally lost it speaks volumes.
So has Steve Armitage. What does that prove ?

If ilovetheriders has been in the media for 15 years and is in Saskatoon there is only two explanations.
1) His idea of "in the media" is being the goof behind the actual on camera personality waving to his buddies because he made it on TV.

or

2) He isn't very good at his job and hasn't gotten a promotion after being bumped up from the farm report.

Again, as I wrote Friday, this is not the same Lions team as years past. Why in heck does Wally care what Carm thinks? Talk about being distracted and worried about the wrong things! This was an orchestrated cheapshot by the head of the Lions but it backfired on him. I'm sure he didn't count on Carm standing up to him because nobody else ever does.
I cannot believe I'm reading this!!!

Carm standing up to Wally? He got absolutely freaking OWNED. He didn't have a single answer to any of those questions Wally shot back at him. Wally is quite frankly tired of hearing about the whole Jimenez thing -- you can't blame him for feeling that way -- and now that an ARBITRATOR has stepped in the whole matter should be over.

But then Carm goes on the radio as a supposedly professional football analyst and calls the Lions a dirty team, with no real basis for that other than personal opinion????? That's pretty classless. A cheap attempt to start a smear campaign.

Say what you want, this will not faze Wally one bit. All it's done now is further galvanize the Lions team. If it could serve to backfire against any team, it would be the Roughriders.

Look, every team has players that have done inappropriate things. A.J. Gass doesn't play for the Lions. Ed Philion doesn't play for the Lions. The teams they play for aren't labelled as dirty, so why are Riders supporters so insistent on calling B.C. a dirty team?

If there was any additional fire needed in advance of tomorrow's game... wow, this is it!

Good point. Wally does a pretty good job under normal circumstances. Can you imagine how hard he'll work if you piss him off?

Quite frankly, I've lost a lot a lot of respect for Rider fans at a time when I have a lot more respect for their team than I used to. I used to wonder why some people had this intense dislike for the Rider horde. I've witnessed this from fans of most of the other teams. The eyes roll when you mention anything to do with Rider fans. Now I am beginning to see their point.

I'll be even more disappointed now if the Lions lose tomorrow because I certainly do not feel inclined to cheer for the western rep in the Cup if they do (as I normally would), not because of the team, but because of a great many of their supporters.
Enough is enough.

No, no. He's this guy:

"Thanks for listening to the Saskatoon radio visitor information line on AM 1470. The following events are occurring in and around Saskatoon this week...........

...and that concludes our list of events in and around Saskatoon this week."

Why do you riders fan care so much if about the whole Jimenez situation anyways. It didn't affect your player or your team. You can't say it's dirty all on hear say information, and even if he was to be suspended it would only be one game under the CBA. Plus if your team is so good then they shouldn't care if Jimenez is playing or not.
