Riders fined!

MEDIA STATEMENT -– ROUGHRIDERS FINED
Wednesday, October 17, 2007 - 04:15PM

TORONTO (CFL) -- The Commissioner’s Office announced today that it has fined the Saskatchewan Roughriders Football Club $10,000, including individual fines to General Manager/Vice President, Football Operations Eric Tillman and Head Coach Kent Austin of $2,500 each, for publicly making disparaging comments towards the Canadian Football League.
Ouch!

It must make the Riders fans proud of the leaders of their organization.

The sanctimonious, holier-than-thou twosome (Austin and Tillman) get fined again.

And they look down their noses and judge players, coaches and administrators of other teams. They also criticize the referees with Tillman's clever little dig at their inconsistency.

I am surprised and delighted that the league would fine the Little Red-Haired Pissant again.

Too funny. Good on you, CFL.

Kick the Little Red-Haired Pissant in the azzzz again.

All I can do is laugh at that, especially after Tillman going on and on about the lions.

Two dust ups now, a GM fined not once but twice for popping off, the coach fined...hmmmmmm.

Pissant and Rider faithful were absolutely bang on.....their team truly is a reflection of the way it is managed/coached.

Has Wally been fined yet as a coach or GM......no? Thought not.

This will go over big in sanctmonious Riderville. The same group of people that stand behind the league when they determine a hit on Dickenson warrants no further action, but will be all over the league for this. Just watch.

I guess they just found out that, contrary to their opinion that the league office's job is to serve the member clubs, the league office's job is to do what's best for the league. Period.

Funny how Tillman's been fined twice, Austin fined, and the Riders organization fined, while Wally and the Lions ( dirtiest & whiniest of all ) haven't.

Maybe Tillman's comments about actions reflecting on the leadership of an organization are correct after all?
Hopefully now, he'll shut up and focus on the game vs. Hamilton. :cr:

I would respond to why wally hasn't been fined despite numerous fines and suspensions to players on his team but there is no way to say it with receiving some sort of warning or banning

Somewhere in Surrey, deep within the Lion's compound Wally and Murphy have their feet up on Wally's desk, smokin' a nice fat cuban cigar, drinking a beer and are LAUGHING!

One suspension, two fines don't equate to what the Riders have received, although had it been my call, only Rasouli would have been ejected and suspended and Jones for his helmet toss would have lost some coin from his pocket.
Entertainment value = an all time low

Murphy has been fined, ejected and/or suspended at least once per season, this is the first time Jones or MAM have been fined as a Rider, and unsure if they ever have before. as such Murphy has created a history of going to far.

Why would you be banned or warned? This isn't a Riders forum.

because I do enjoy the debates here and being a rider fan I feel it is best not to provide my speculation into Wally (and how he manages these issues on and off the field). I know that depending on what I say there are mods here that would not hestitate to pull the plug on my participation. as such it is best to remain silent on that issue.

OK he has been in the league two years and as far as I remember he received one ejection from the Eskimo game on week 2 and the $500 fine after the week 13 incident and nothing last year not even a roughing call. Maybe my memory is incorrect, can you maybe refresh my memory with then he was "fined, ejected and/or suspended" last year?
