That's how the three 1964, 1985, and 1994 Grey Cup banners were originally hung in BC Place, until the 2001 season opener when they added the 2000 Grey Cup banner. At that time, they moved the banners to either side of the screen.Grandmaster C wrote:I wish we would hang them the way they do at the RCA Dome in Indianapolis which has the same kind of roof as BC Place.

Indeed they were, but they were hung over midfield and I wasn't a fan of that either, and obviously that wouldn't work anymore either with the Lions having two more banners since those days.Robbie wrote:That's how the three 1964, 1985, and 1994 Grey Cup banners were originally hung in BC Place, until the 2001 season opener when they added the 2000 Grey Cup banner. Like I said, I like the way they do it in Indy where they're hung in the corners. That way, you wouldn't have to squint your eyes to see them, and they wouldn't be as obtrusive as they were when they were hung over midfield.

Yea otherwise we might forget what happened in '64, '85, '94, '00 and '06Robbie wrote:Well, I think the banners are well earned awards that should be prominently displayed clearly where everyone could easily see them.TheLionKing wrote:Can't believe there are 6 pages of posts concerning the raising of banners.
