Running back Jarrett Payton helped the Alouettes dominate the time of possession battle by carrying the ball a career-high 21 times for 119 yards and three touchdowns. Payton’s three touchdowns were from 1, 2 and 3 yards, also a career high. He averaged 5.7 yards per carry in the game, and averages 6.2 yards per carry this season.

Toronto Argonauts’ defensive back Kahlil Carter had an 82-yard interception return for a touchdown in Saturday’s Labour Day re-match against the Ticats. The play came in the third quarter and sealed the game for the Argos. Carter also added seven tackles, raising his season total to 23.

On the very first play from scrimmage, Peterson caught a 64 yard pass which resulted in a successful field goal attempt. Peterson leads the Eskimos in receiving with 641 yards on 49 catches and five touchdowns this season.
