ok updated to Firefox 2.0 and it seems to be reading the new posts. however it keeps logging me out when I click on "reply"
Now that I don't live in Quesnel do I need to change my handle??

Scratch that. It is now reading the previous post as one I haven't read - and I wrote it.

I go back into this thread and come out and it is still marking it as having not been read.
Now that I don't live in Quesnel do I need to change my handle??

I'm going to switch back to the previous setting .... there seems to be a lot less issue with it

There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.
