Wow, I can't believe it. My 3000th post and even 5 or 6 of those that were valuable contributions

This feels like it is some kind of bench mark that deserves something a little more than just an ordinary post so I thought I might take an opportunity to thank D and all the Mods for their never ending work to provide this forum. And to all the members at large who past, present and future will continue to make this place a vibrant and diverse community, thank you! I don't use the word community lightly. This is a meeting place of individuals who share a common love. It is a place of serious thought, humorous musings, disagreements and affirmations. Like any family we don't always get along but the times that this happens are ridiculously small in comparison to all the others. I really value the diversity of opinions and viewpoints and I feel that I have learned a great deal here not only about the game of football but about people too. We are a team and as a member of that team, I just want everybody to know how much I appreciate the contributions of all of you even those with whom I have gotten into the occasional pissing match. This is a great place and I feel incredibly lucky and privileged to be a part of it.

Congratulations, Sir Purrcival. I see your 13th anniversary of you joining this board is approaching as well.

I noticed that late last night you made a post in the "2016 U.S. Presidential Election Thread' thread but you removed it. I guess that might have been your 3000th thread, but you felt that it's best to post your 3000th thread with an official announcement.

Quite right. I had been watching the count and wanted the 3000th to be something more positive than concerning the 2016 US Presidential Race. Something feel good as it were.
