Were they? I don't recall any Mayan suggesting that the world was going to end, time to change the calendar, but no word on the world ending as far as I know. Now did many speculate upon that calendar finishing coinciding with the end of the world, yes.

Now everyone can carry on with their bucket list.

Yeah, my retort was more about getting out the facts to all, vs allowing some to think that the Myans had that much insight to the future, only to be wrong. Meanwhile this does allow me to remember to go and change my own calendar for 2013. :)
