0:48 and counting. Even if Ott get it back now they won't have much time to manufacture the game winning score.

Edm get another 1D with 0:23 left and that should do it.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.

Stupid stupid stupid coaching call by Rick Campbell to punt on third down there. He gave the game away when he punted that ball.

Edm flagged for too many men with 9secs left but it won't matter.

Edmonton Eskimos: 2015 Grey Cup champions.

Yes, and credit to OTT as well who do the same. You are watching two coaching staffs that MIX THINGS UP, play aggressive football, have team discipline and show confidence in their players. All of this is foreign in BC. Win or Lose, both teams and their fans should be very proud, they play the game the way it supposed to be played.

Like Hufnagel, Jones was available to be picked up as a HC and the Lions passed on both.

It was 3rd & 14 on their own side of midfield after the sack, better FP or less to go and maybe he goes for it.

Edm still needed three first downs to run out the clock FTW.

Are you serious? Jones was hired after the 2013 season. We had just come off of an 11-7 season, and just barely lost in the West Semi-Final 29-25. How often are coaches fired after doing that in their second year?

Hindsight is 20/20.

With that little time on the clock, and the ball in your hands, you take the chance. Instead they gave Edmonton the opportunity to win it and Edmonton took that opportunity. Forget field position, forget 3rd and 14. You have the chance to win the game and they gave it away.

Being down 6, if it fails at their own 45 Edm doesn't even need a first down to get into FG range to make it potentially a two-score game. Pretty sure that plus everything else I mentioned weighed into the decision to kick it away. It was almost 2-1/2mins left when the drive stalled, an eternity in this game.

Disappointing.....a storybook finish would have been nice. I think the country other than Edmonton wanted the RedBlacks to win; there doesn't seem to be much affection for the Esks. Respect yes but not much love.

Turning point of the game in my opinion was the challenge late in the game

Okay so punt the ball. Then what? Edmonton, as they have done all second half, moves the ball, kills the 2 minutes, and it's game over. Hey, great success right?

No, you're wrong on this. You have the ball in your hands with under 2 minutes left. You're down by 6, you need the TD, you need to make something happen NOW. Rick Campbell gave away the Grey Cup with that stupid decision.

There was under 2 minutes left when he punted the ball.

Travis Lulay had just won us a Grey Cup and was just named the 2011 MOP. Mike Reilly was a pending free agent and wanted a chance to start.

Hindsight is 20/20, but are you suggesting you would have dumped the reigning MOP in order to keep our backup? :rotf:
