Battle of the felines. After a slow start, Hamilton has hit their stride winning their last 3 games. On the other hand, BC has dropped their last 2. Will the Lions' offence be able to generate more than 1 touchdown ? Will BC be the first visiting team to win at Tim Horton's field ?
lol, that isn't the direction that we wanted to start with ... that said, I think that Antolin is Logan with more grit, so I will take a big game from him today.DanoT wrote:Logan is injured and not playing, so Game Day Thread is off to an ominous start.LionsLip wrote:Biggy & Sol all day + Logan big day = Lions win!
Entertainment value = an all time low
I hope the Lions can prove me wrong today and beat an improved HAM team. (If they are serious about succeeding in an East cross-over, which no one has done yet, they will have to beat the best in the East).
Antolin gives them best chance of doing that, he was fun to watch during pre-season.

Antolin's first carry stuffed.
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.
Ham facemask penalty keeps the Lions' first drive alive.

Arceneaux makes his second first down catch of the drive.

And numbers on sides of helmets instead of logo.
Ham will punt on their first series, a short one. BC will drive from near their own 50.
