Some impressions ...
1 BC ... On top, but not dominating. Calgary, Saskatchewan, Montreal and Hamilton have all scored more points than us. Our D leads the league in points allowed but a few teams match us for sacks. Why are we not dominating? As I've said a few times, IMO the talent in the league is pretty good throughout. Our character and experience and good work by our OC and DC have us competing for the Cup. We have vulnerabilities (O Line in particular), but so do all the other teams. We do have very good depth on our roster.
2 Montreal ... Not as dominant as they have been for a few years under Trestman. As I've indicated a few times, IMO the league has caught up to the advantage enjoyed by Trestman and Hufnagel in their first years as HCs.
3 Calgary ... Same as Montreal. Not as dominant as they have been under Hufnagel. Welcome to parity. Welcome to new coaches up to your schemes.
4 Saskatchewan ... The Rider Resurrection looks for real. Durant is playing very well. The D is strong. Loads of talent. Dressler is about the best there is IMO.
5 Toronto ... Do they miss Ricky Ray? Yeah. The receiving talent, aside from Owens looks a bit threadbare IMO.
6 Edmonton ... Still got a tough D. And Kerry Joseph may be ready to play well now that he has won a game. He still seems capable of putting up good numbers. Will Nichols and Jyles be cut loose in the off season?
7 Hamilton ... Burris runs hot and cold. Nothing new there. Defence is suspect.
8 Winnipeg ... Wow. No small task beating Montreal. Joey Elliott once again looks like a young gunslingler with some potential.

IMO, those are bang on rankings WCJ!!! I can certainly see places 2-6 being impacted by the games this week. I can see the Hamilton game impacting us too much and the Bombers have just about poured a f0undation for finishing in 8th.....

Weird about Hamilton. They enjoy playing us. Teams have memories, it seems, even though the players change. This goes back to 2003 when Danny Mc torched Dante Marsh and Sam Young.
Hopefully we can beat them and solidify our hold on first place.

How I see it after 18 games ...
1 BC #1 O, #1 D, Lulay, Harris, Bighill, Williams, Benevides, 'nuff said ...
2 Calgary Good O, good D, good QBs, good coaching.
3 Montreal Good O, D not so good.
4 Toronto Ricky Ray, Chad Owens, anything else?
5 Saskatchewan Got some talent, got some flaws.
6 Edmonton Backdoor entry. Could surprise.
7 and 8 Hamilton, Winnipeg Equally inept. Defence? QB in the Peg? Burris the main guy in Ham?
Favorites for round one? I would expect something like this ...
Argos favored by three over the Esks.
Stampeders favored by five over the Riders.
