Re: Congrats to the Riders...

Much ado about nothing....fans get worked up over this....thats all. And especially Rider fans. Especially Rider fans. Is it a lack of maturity by rider fans or is it extremism? The posters on Rider forums seem a lot more about vilification and hyperbole and a lot less about football analysis and a...

Re: 2008 SEASON OPENER: Lions/Stamps Game Day Thread

Stamps have just two starters back from last year’s defensive as well as a new coordinator. It will take time to create some cohesiveness. Is it two starters returning to the D backfield or two returnees to the entire D ? If it is the later then it will take a lot more than 2 pre season games to ge...

Re: Well Jarious or Buck

IMO the biggest edge for Buck is that he is 4 years younger than JJ. If you factor in the prospect of an Ottawa team entry draft 3 or 4 years from now when the teams will get to protect only one QB, then that QB for the Lions should be Buck. So get him starting now.

For the WR position, Roy and Wally need to look at NFL cuts in a few months time.

Re: Lions Fans residing in the US & CFL Broadcasts in the US

I bought a high end HD pvr from Shaw Cable in Victoria and it was financed interest free by Wells Fargo Bank. I pay $23/ month for the pvr until some time in 2010.

Re: Help with BC Place seating

I buy single game tickets thru Ticketmaster on line. If you do this it is best to choose a specific price category such as $74.00 rather than "best seats available"

Re: season ticket count?

Two years ago i got single game tickets vs Sask. in the front row, upper deck, 54yd. line. This year for Sept 12, vs Sask. with an early choice before single games went on sale to the public, I got upper deck row LL on the 40yd. line. Damn ST sales. jk. Actually, the 40 yard line for single game tic...

Re: Murphy, Anderson, Hameister-Reis to miss camp

I always knew Rob Murphy was smart, but planning his children's birth and therefore the conception so as to miss TC, now that is football savvy. Talk about a game plan! :beauty:

Will the new roofed BC Place have a natural grass field?

If they do play on grass, then I think they will need a new floor with drainage and maybe irrigation as well. Things could get pricey.

Re: Report: Wake wants out of his contract

At this point we don't know what Wally offered to CW. We do know that it is Lions policy to sign rookies to 2+1, so If I'm Wally I would have offered CW what I thought he was worth and would be happy with on a 2+1 as well as offering a 1+1 for way, way below market value just to satisfy league rules...

Re: any merit to this idea, re canadian QBs

If you are a high school QB in Canada with aspirations to play professional football after collage, then you had better switch to another position. With that in mind, the best athletes in CIS football are not the QBs. What the CFL should do is completely exempt NI QBs from the salary cap even if the...

Dave Ritchie is on record, earlier this year I think, as saying that he is still interested in being a Head Coach in the CFL again. So I don't think he is ready to retire. As far as his D not being as effective or edgy as in the past. I don't really buy it as the D carried the team and set up the O ...

I'll be taking the day off work to watch in HD with my gf who was born in Regina. So even though I'll cheer for the Riders, I don't mind if Milt gets a Grey Cup ring.

Hey Vern, don't you know that David Braley bribes the CFL to let the Lions pipe in canned sound, go beyond the salary cap, fire commissioner Tom whatshisname and bring in his son-in-law Mark Cohon to do his bidding. How many "I read it on the internet so it must be true" people are there i...
