Re: Training Camp Prospects
Most these type of signings are just for rookie camp so they can run scrimmages etc. just going to Kamloops for 3 days. If makes it through rookie camp, join 3rd group for reps through camp. They prefer to start main camp with 15 OL to fill out the 3 units. Right now the Lions are at 13. No doubt t...

Re: Question re: Winnipeg Stadium
Then again if I was working with Hambone's budget I might consider the club seats. IMO Bombers are not immune to declining attendance issues any more than other teams. They give away large blocks of tickets on a regular basis to pump up the numbers. Seldom are the upper corners full on games shown ...

Re: Question re: Winnipeg Stadium
I've only been there for the 2015 Grey Cup. I had a great seat 1st row upper deck close to the midfield stripe. Excellent sight line and only a couple rows from the concourse. As DC said park n rides would be the way to go especially if you plan on having a few wobbles at the game. There is informat...

Re: Training camp 2024
I see after the long weekend they have 3 evening practices. Avoiding conflicts with the track meet I presume?

Re: Lions' receivers
Searching the exclusive negotiation window states that once a player declares he wants to play in the CFL the rights holder has 10 days to offer him an ELC where upon they retain his rights for another calender year. It's a ridiculous rule 100% in favor of the team. Do you have a current copy of CF...

Re: Lions' receivers
One thing that Claypool has going for him is youth relatively speaking. He's 25. Could be he suffered from a nasty combination of immaturity and outright cockiness. The way things have unfolded over the last two seasons should have provided him with a big slice of humble pie. Whether he's opted to t...

Malveaux was a southern California kid born in Bellfower in the southeast part of L.A. County. He was living in San Bernardino at the time of his passing.

Re: Lions' receivers
Jamie Nye has an article over the weekend where he picks 5 young receivers who he thinks can pop their 1000 yard season cherry in 2024. One of the 5 he chose is BC's Ayden Eberhardt.

Just a suggestion DC. This should be posted in the All Sports Forum as it has nothing to do with CFL Football.

Heavy NFL interest in Benedet and Manu with 16 teams represented at their Pro Day at UBC.

Re: Lions' receivers
[ Ironic that Travis Lulay was healthy when the Lions moved on. Never thought of Odell as a non contributor. They used to talk about how he knew every players responsibility on the field and I always thought he would make a good coach. Would love to see Claybrooks back in the league as well. Cocked...

Re: Touchdown Pacific in Victoria 2024
Nice to see the enthusiastic response to ticket sales but I can't se the advantage for the Lions when they could have sold 10,000 more tickets hosting the game at B.C. Place. Willing to let the accountants figure it out though and happy for the people of Vancouver Island. There's probably a lot mor...

Re: Lions' receivers
My opinion of Carter stems from watching him at training camp in Kamloops. I had high expectations of him really connecting with Reilly but all I saw was a lazy pantload who seemed disinterested in putting in any more than minimal effort. He spent most of the time during stretching exercises yukking...

Re: Lions' receivers
Yeah, Claypool has NFL level talent, but from where I sit it appears he does not have pro football maturity. I don't think his ego would allow him to play in the CFL. Claypool comes across to me as being similar to Duron Carter. Long on talent but lacking the sort of maturity needed to be a pro. Wh...

Re: Rourke now a NE Patriot
I think Rourke is in a bit of a tough spot in NE. The HC that signed him, Belichek, is gone as is the OC. While NE's new OC has worked out Rourke in Cleveland, there really is no one in NE with any sort of commitment or belief in him. Belichek had already been out of the New England picture for nea...
