I suspect that JC was offered a significant raise. No mystery to that.

Secondly, this rounds out his experience. I think there is no mystery here as to why he left unless there were DA - Kent Austin type complaints about him - but I doubt that.

Steve Kruck the QB coach has a nice demeanour with the players but I have no idea of his ability to do the job as OC. While Blitz is spot on about the history of JC as OC and his role in ensuring Casey Printers left BC for one thing, I don't agree with his conclusion that JC should have been more l...

I was never a fan of Chapdeleine so I'm happy that he's gone. Frankly I don't think Chap is indispensable. I'm sure Buono will find a very capable replacement and we carry on. Business as usual. The post up above that notes that Dunigan and Barrett would make decent candidates makes sense. Dunigan ...

I think you have to be that guy who stays after practice to give more work to the receivers who want it. A third stringer has to hope for injuries, or kick the door down - nobody is going to hold it open for you. That isn't going to happen when the season is underway. That is not how a pro team wor...

They would be trying to get the rights to Printers so that they can negotiate with him without competition of other teams. If they wait until he's a free agent then they have to compete with the likes of Hamilton, Saskatchewan and Winterpeg for his services. Thus avoiding a bidding war if they can ...

Casey Printers to the Argos?

CTV Ch. 9 just stated that at the end of the news hour- no details - just that the Argos may try and do a deal with the Lions for Printers. Not sure why they want to do a deal now when they could wait until he's a free agent. It's not like there will be a lot of competition for him and I can't see h...

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Hope you are all having a safe and joyous time with family and friends. By now, many of the US players will have arrived home and we know that MB is in Nashville with his family. I know from business travels that this is an even bigger travelling time of year than their Ch...

Both picks were good choices. Dave Dickenson got the team to where PJ could make his record 6 FGs.

Now if they had have credited DD with a fumble that went for a TD, the pick and the game from there on might have got interesting.

While this poll is interesting, it begs the question and the new reality - governments are not likely to participate in funding such ventures for pro sports. This isn't the USA where County administrations poll and then build stadiums to attract and retain NFL teams and maybe even NHL hockety teams ...

This issue of players being too brittle is bizarre. Injuries in football occur all the time and the life of an O lineman is short in football most due to injury. These guys are all in pretty good shape but the body in football is asked to so somethings at times it was not designed to do and it is th...

This is not the first time antagonistic elements from within have used petty poll protocol to embarrass me. I guess I ran out ...

Wally sure knows how to motivate his players. That is reminescent of a 1960s management style when a very well known international company would kick off the annual manager's meeting by telling them this "Take a look around you to your left and right because XXXX of them won't be here this time...

Pigskin - as Homer Simpson points out "Trying is the first step towards failure" and as long as you recognize that - posting a poll is okay. Yogi Berra who apparently said "If the world were purrfect, it wouldn't be" put it this way - "I really didn't say everything I said&q...

I just watched the final drive - wow - what a finish. I had no idea that Doug Flutie had a brother until this year. And didnt know they had played against each other until just now - great finish. http://www.cbc.ca/programguide/personality/index.jsp?personality=Flutie%2C+Darren&program=CFL+on+C...
