Gang Green, led by the arrogant Roy Shivers and followed by the most fickle fan base in the league. One day they're planning a parade for their world-beaters. The next day they're running the bums out of town.

All three are sure-handed 1,000-yard receivers. Only one is also a key blocker who can flatten linebackers. JC wins for versatility.

I'm aiming for TO in '07. I don't do winter and don't have the wardrobe or fortitude to sit through an outdoor game on the Prairies in November.

I respect the Esks and think they're due for a good offensive game for a change, and I like the Esks fans who post online, but I reserve the right to change my mind after hanging around out-of-town fans downtown for the next few days.

I voted for the DD injury Oct. 1 but the real turning point for me was the Tompkins kick return for the game-winning touchdown Sept 24 at Commonwealth. The Lions had fought from behind to tie the game and again appeared to be invincible. They fell apart mentally after that, taking uncharacteristic p...

I supported Dickenson last year and this year, believing his experience gave the Lions the best chance to win the Cup in 2004 and 2005. I've always believed that Printers holds the most promise for the future of the franchise, both on and off the field. Sign him up and build the offence around him. ...

O'Mahony is the only option at this point. McLoughlin isn't even going to try to test his injured leg until Friday. It will be interesting to see what happens on Sunday if DO has to step up with the game on the line but he's done it before and I certainly will be pulling for him. On a related note, ...

Just saw a postgame TSN interview with Maciocia on the Esks quarterback situation for the Western final. His quote:
"I don't know who's going to start. There's no quarterback controversy here. We're going to go back to Edmonton and get this team ready to play next week"

Ray is a known quantity and that quantity has been good for 5-10 yards a pass lately and a couple of picks a game. Maas could have the keys to unlock that once-feared Eskimo arsenal.

Has anyone seen any comments from Maciocia on the QB question?

It's strange how quickly we get used to something. If you asked this question last year (I think someone did) I would have been dead set against the new orange and white and would have preferred anything close to last year's black or the black and orange of the current third jerseys, which is remini...

Roberts and Warren are my all-star picks at running back, in that order. Reynolds does not have the versatility to be considered in the same category.

For all of their talent, the Eskimos are a highly dysfunctional and underperforming team. With Ray, Tucker, Mitchell and Hervey, they should be lighting it up but they're the lowest-scoring team in the West. Calgary is more of an offensive threat. Burris usually throws for a lot of yards against the...

There are twice as many high school football programs in B.C.as there were in the recent past, so things are on the upswing. Most schools in Vancouver and many other communities eliminated football for cost and insurance reasons in the '70s and '80s. Ity's good to see new programs springing up each ...
