Re: Lions @ Eskimos -- Blog, Post Game Stats and Comments
Excellent comments guys. I would like to make a few comments about Harris...first, I don't think that he is merely a good RB, I think that he is a GREAT RB and that ONE season in a unpredictable offence and Harris will show the entire league just how good he is (2,000 + yards from the LOS). I watche...

Re: How to rebuild
The Lions actually possess a talent base that is good enough to compete for a Grey Cup, thus they should be trying to win now. Plus, the Lions are quite young at key positions, and have a lot to look forward to. They key for the Lions (or any CFL team) moving forward will be the QB position. Can the...

Re: Lions @ Eskimos -- Blog, Post Game Stats and Comments
uh... The converts USED to be that close up , this whole season they have been from 32 yards out. Sorry, you are right...I have a weird feed from my provider in Mexico, they cut out to Mexican commercials very quickly after any scores so I have only witnessed one, maybe two converts all season long...

Re: Lions @ Eskimos -- Blog, Post Game Stats and Comments
It's Jennings who has struggled in short yardage situations. Backups are used in these situations to reduce hits on the starter. Putting in McGhee was the right call. Who knows what the call was, sweep, pass, plunge, handoff, whatever. He fumbled before anything else could happen. Its not the right...

Re: Lions @ Eskimos -- Blog, Post Game Stats and Comments
We played to protect a lead. We played it conservatively. We played it "safe." We played not to lose. We played deep zone. Usually we had only six in the box, an invitation to Reilly to run, when it counted. And for Bell. The EE, on the other hand, load up the box, especially on key downs...

Re: Lions @ Eskimos -- Blog, Post Game Stats and Comments
:bang: :bang: Players are getting very frustrated with the coaching staff. Chris Rainey expressed his frustration after the game tonight with the lack of touches. Can you blame him? He was a running back with the Steelers and possesses 4.3 speed. While run blocking hasn't been up to par, IMHO Andre...

True, but that's still a better option than what MTL has.

Re: What happened to Cord Parks
A year ago Wally Buono called Cord Parks a key signing when resigning him. Now a healthy scratch. His play seemed to fall off in the second half of last year and now is nowhere to be found. Any insight here? No insight, but I agree that his play fell off last year and fell further this year. Parks ...

Re: Bombers @ Lions, Blog, Post Game Stats and Comments
Some of the posters can do a better job than the so called "professional coaches" I'm pretty sure all of BC Place saw those fake punts coming a mile away. I know I did. Speaking to Eric Fraser's dad, apparently Eric told him that he saw that the fake was on and told (or expressed the opin...

Re: Messam to Stamps, Glenn to Als....
Neither players are the future in SSK, and with their season over, they are getting what they can for them...a good move by the Roughies. Their future answer is very different from Kevin Glenn. However, right now, for MTL it was a great addition. They are a playoff team with a decent QB and that's w...

Re: 1040 called out Wally this morning - update: 10/13/15
The hiring of sycophants is done for one purpose only - to provide loyalty to the leader as well as to flatter, protect, and enhance the leader's power. Performance is much less important than loyalty and can even be unimportant unless the leader's job is threatened and then he will do anything, in...

Re: Leos Focus on Special Teams
I suppose a "bright spot" from the loss to the Blue Bombers was the lesson they provided us. The Bombers Special Teams have been problematic all year and costing them points and wins; so much so that Mike O'Shea fired their ST coordinator back in early September and began to right the shi...

Incredible stuff guys, thanks very much. First, Blitz, that was so good and accurate, that I really don't have any words for it, other than thanks once again. Dano, I hear what you are saying, but I just feel like someone is going to come forward once Wally has retired and "spill the beans"...

Re: 1040 called out Wally this morning - update: 10/13/15
I am somewhat pleased to hear that there is some conflict between the Head Coach and the GM. Maybe Jeff Tedford is finally asserting himself and is fed up with Buono interfering. I agree completely. Through all of this mess Dano and I have been Tedford's hardest critics because THIS IS SUPPOSED TO ...

Re: Leos Focus on Special Teams
B.C. coach Jeff Tedford could offer the only reasonable response to the breakdowns: “Work ’em,” said Tedford. “Make sure we’re all on the same page and that we understand situations. That starts with alignments. We were in a bad alignment with one of the fakes. You can’t ever go to sleep on special...
