Edmonton will have at least 21 open tryouts in the US by the time training camp is scheduled to open. That's the most I've seen in the CFL. Haven't heard if they are still planning their Canadian open tryout that they've held for several years.

Good group of camps. Not as many as in previous years but they are in good talent areas.

Here's their schedule at the start of the season.

June 28 vs Calgary on ESPN3
July 4 vs Toronto on ESPN3
July 13 vs Edmonton on ESPN2
July 20 vs Edmonton on ESPN3
July 30 vs Toronto (not announced yet but I'm guessing NBCSN)

Don't forget about Jorgen Hus (LS, Regina) getting signed by St. Louis.

Paredes was an undrafted free agent when Winnipeg signed him.

Even as a non-Vancouverite I found this really interesting.

Great footage of Vancouver back in 1907, filmed by an individual that a few years later was on board the Titanic filming that voyage. He lost his life on that assignment.

The Lions found Cam Wake at one of these free agent camps. Nobody knew who he was at that point.

I highly recommend all football fans to head down for Senior Bowl once. I have had some individuals ask me to set up a tour down there to see Senior Bowl and then tour some schools close by.

This past year after Senior Bowl we headed to Florida State and saw a pair of National Championships ...
