Re: Paul McCallum has left camp - asked to retire
Part of being a professional athlete is knowing you might not get to go out on your own terms. No doubt a long, introspective ride home for McCallum. He had a great career and now a place in Lions history. Not a bad deal for a kid from junior football in BC. Enjoy your retirement Paul, well done!

Re: No more upper deck
First...I'm from Kelowna so fall under the category as an out of towner who could be out of luck seeing a game. And I still say this is a smart business move on the part of the Lions. The current atmosphere with 25,000 to $32,000 people scattered through 60000 seats is horrible. It can't attract a c...

Re: King James finally is....
Yes he won a championship and yes his is an oustanding basketball player obviously.
But he held a press conference in an elementary school in his home town to to say adios Cleveland.
Money can buy championships but it can't buy class

Re: Jabar Westerman and Steven Doege, the Lions NI D Line gu
Ive been on the board for 20 years now and you could tell Doege (like we thought the first time our club played against Harris in VI) that he was a special athlete. He is in the same class physically as Jermaine Haley and Terrance Huston (brothers who played for us in the 1990's from the states). Ha...

Open letter to Joe Kapp
I write this here because of Kapps Lion's connection. Much of what is in italics below is in my previous post Being from Winnipeg originally I didn't see the hit till last year when Angelo spoke at a fundraiser for our Okanagan Sun scholarship dinner. I understand completely why Lion fans will never...

Re: Hefney's a moron
I'd love to hear Hefney try and explain that statement now. Dumb dumb dumb. Suber throwing Bruce's pose in his face I don't mind one bit as a fan (coaches might disagree) but you better be sure you bring your game if you are going to play that game with a player with Bruce's experience because that...

Unfortunately for Barresi it was reported officially that the Bombers let him go today. Hopefully things work out for him elsewhere

Re: Joe Kapp v Angelo Mosca at charity banquet
Being from Winnipeg originally I didn't see the hit till last year when Angelo spoke at a fundraiser for our Sun scholarship dinner. I am biased as I was lucky enough to spend a brief lunch with him one on one. Seeing the football player/wrestler tell war stories then immediatley go into Grandpa Mos...

Re: Danny Watkins
Listened to Watkins on the Team 1040 this morning, Im sorry but its pretty sad that he turns his back on grass roots football in kelowna that played a major role ion getting him started playing football. When I listened to his press conference in Philadelphia and he said there is no football in Kelo...
