Re: A reg season NFL game in Vancouver?
No way I can see the Seahawks giving up one of their home dates. Even for here. At least not as long as they are this competitive. Maybe one of their road opponents who has trouble selling out in the next few years would be open to it. This always seems to gain traction every few years, and then ...

Re: Your "Worst Game Ever"
2005 West Final. Just the overall collapse after 11-0, coupled with the fact Grey Cup was here and they were trying to avenge '04 loss.. Just a bitter pill to swallow that took me a long time to get over..
2007 West Final also was terrible but in retrospect the Riders were due and wanted it more.

I think you're overreacting. None of you were at the podium so you don't know what went down.. How do you know someone didn't simply say "Hey prez, get in the middle?"

Re: Grey Cup Host Cities since 1989
Thank god the US franchises folded before the game was to be played in Baltimore in 1997... That would have been the final dagger in terms of our game being taken over by the Yanks... I realize it seemed like a good idea at the time, but really hilarious now when you look back at the US Expansion.

Re: LION82's final game tonight
Just tuned into game now so may have missed something: Has he in fact announced he is done after this season?? I know he probably didn't come as advertised in Regina but based on his birth certificate, you'd think he'd still have a bit more left in the tank.

Re: Still no Grey Cup Tickets
Thanks for the update.. I actually follow that twitter feed but didn't see those updates.. Understand the new stadium making it more tough, but still pretty late. Previous Grey Cups we have received them in early September!

Still no Grey Cup Tickets
Still don't have my tickets in the mail.. I know there was a recent thread and people have been told late October, but the month is about to end! Anyone receive theirs yet?
I'm not a STH but bought when they went on sale in May and paid in full

Re: Lions to play in Edmonton???
Does anyone honestly believe there will be no settlement by game time?? There is way too much to lose for both the Lions, and the employees who certainly don't have a lot more stadium dates this year to work.

Will also add that based on schedule, Stamps are in tough. At Montreal then home to Winnipeg with both those teams trying to lock up 1st out east.

Re: Home Playoff Game
It's really not that complitcated: If the Stamps win their last two and the Lions can only manage a split, the finish two points ahead.... Or if the Lions lose out and Calgary splits, same thing. Tiebreaker don't mean squat if you finish behind the other team.

Re: Lion's Home PO Game?
To explain it in a more simple way, for Lions to be guaranteed 1st place they must beat Edmonton and split their remaining two against the Als and Ticats. So basically win 2 of the last 3, with one of the W's against EE.
So in response to whoever posted above, the Lions don't "have to" beat ...

Re: 2011 Grey Cup money grab
May not be a bad idea to book now if you really want tickets and are not a STH. I did this exact same pre-sale deal for Calgary last year and ended up sitting half way up on the goal line, not bad at all.. I seem to recall the Stamps season ticket holders snappin up all the more expensive seats ...

Re: Most Disappointing Loss in Leos History
Couple honorable mentions:
1998 Western Semi in Edmonton; Leos finished the regular season with six straight wins after Mohns took over as coach and were expected to pull of the upset, only to allow to long TD receptions from Brian Wiggins in the 4th quarter. Esks won by 7.
