Re: Stupid Undisciplined Penalty could cost Bo his Career

Hmmmmm :hmm: I expect my young son to wash his hands after he uses the bathroom, but it is up to me to make sure that he does. It all falls on Steinauer who seems to be passing the buck on this one.

Re: Lions vs. Elks July 29, 2023

Well said B.C. Fan. It was complete domination. 3 or 4 pass interference penalties plus the overthrow by Hatcher and the Lions could have had 450 yards in the air. Quite an amazing fact since they virtually shut down their passing game around the 10 minute mark of the 3rd quarter. Also they shut dow...

Re: Stupid Undisciplined Penalty could cost Bo his Career

When you kneel the quarterback usually takes a step back or two in order to not get hit by the defence. Due to the penalty they scrimmaged from the 2. With change of possession Clock does not start until ball is snapped. I think they were worried about kneeling backwards and giving up a safety, leav...

Stupid Undisciplined Penalty could cost Bo his Career

Bo Levi Mitchell was Injured tonight because of a stupid Undisciplined penalty by Hamiltons George Jr. with seconds left in the game. I am appalled with Hamilton's undisciplined play which has been an issue with them all year, and it all falls on head coach Orlondo Steinauer. After the fake hand sha...

Re: Lions vs. Riders July 22, 2023

Ugly game for the offence credit Saskathewan defence who played hard and seemed to run a lot of stunts and twists that seemed to confuse our offensive line. But a win is a win and defence and special teams were outstanding. Not all games are purrfect and there are a lot of things we need to improve ...

Great Win by the boys. And a fantastic bounce back game from VA as it is laughable on how many people turn on him over 1 game.

Re: Lions at Bombers June 22, 2023

A couple of thoughts after our huge victory last night. 1) Phillips gets all the credit for our defence and rightfully so, but we have 9 defensive lineman that are all playing outstanding, It is no coincidence that this line and Bettis have gotten a lot better since John Bowman was hired as the defe...

Re: Doman not taking his foot off the gas - 2 day Backyard Party

With such a small crowd that was there tonight I wonder if they will have more of a variety of selection tomorrow when there will be thousands there instead of 1 or 2 hundred.

Re: Season opener - BC @ Calgary

Yes I agree with you it is early and there is a lot of football to be played. Injuries will certainly play a part in the end but so far I believe we have enough depth to hopefully be able to manage any injuries when they occur. In regards to Calgary missing to field goals if they would have made the...

Re: Season opener - BC @ Calgary

We heard all last week about the fit of the Lions and how Kongbo did not adhere to the team first attitude. This game showed why he was traded. These guys last night played hard on both sides of the ball for each other. When Adams got hit late Couture had his back. Couture took a foolish penalty and...

Re: Season opener - BC @ Calgary

Not sure if their were any coaches on the rules committee, but as in many business's it seems that the people who are making the rules are not as smart as the people that are on the front lines. It only took the first game for this rule to be exploited. I guess one of the positives is that our coach...

Re: Jonathon Kongbo traded to Hamilton for conditional pick

Yes I remember that, I believe Smith took an extra day coming back to training camp from the all star game. Rapp made a point that Bill Baker made and released Smith. It surprised a lot of people but as you mentioned the Lions went on to have a great season. Kongbo may have fit in at other places bu...

Re: Jonathon Kongbo traded to Hamilton for conditional pick

Good on Campbell and the Lions reacting fast and making a decisive decision. Not like another sports franchise in this city who never will admit to a bad aquisition nor do anything about it. If you have cancer you need to cut it out fast before it spreads, Kongbo was a cancer and kudos for the Lions...

Re: Rourke NFL workouts: chooses Jacksonville

I beg to differ, I think he had many opportunities to sign a contract with other teams. He is taking the same route down there that he did in the cfl. 1, Go to a team with a better than average offence. 2, Work hard and learn and win the number 2 job. 3, Wait till the starter gets hurt and then go i...
