Regarding the result flip-flop from election night to the next day, this article is interesting:

Re: why is CFL interest so tepid in toronto?

the league needs to fix toronto, BC and montreal....... wondering if MLSE might want some sort of beach-head in BC, montreal...... will the league be more canadian after a government bailout? I don't think the CFL falls into Trudeau's support base. Trudeau only cares about urban voters in Vancouver...

Any idea why we don't play Winnipeg, Hamilton or Toronto twice? Why only once.

Re: Which Impeding BC Free Agent Defensive Player are Lions Most Likely to Sign

Not sure if the bridge was burnt with no return but Sol Elimimian was one of the best deals in the league last year. Hard to think Ed passed on $160,000 as was rumored to be the number he signed in Sask for. Derek Taylor had him listed as only missing something like 8 tackles all year. Would love t...

We keep making backup QBs look good. Calgary, Saskatchewan, Hamilton, Toronto and Winnipeg. All losses to the backup QB. :bang:

New host on Thursday Night Football panel

I was very surprised to see that woman, I don't remember her name, on the TSN panel. I'd never seen her as a sideline reporter before. I'd never seen her in any TSN/Sportsnet/CBC telecast before. I still don't understand why they turfed Dave Randorf. He was the best. I understand it's not a popular ...

Re: Eskimos 30 - Lions 6 -- Post-Game Comments

On another matter. In Jarious Jackson’s CFL career, what did he accomplish to demonstrate that he would be a good OC. For the most part he was an average QB who was more often than not a back-up. No offense to Jarious, he's a great guy. He's won several Grey Cup rings. But I don't think he's ready ...

1) I don't like our punting
2) How do you give up an on-side kick
3) Eric Rogers ran the same play against Grymes one-on-one in the End Zone and capitalized each time. I thought Stubler would double-team Rogers or adjust the scheme so he couldn't burn us three times in one game on the SAME play.

I don't know why teams have to constantly change their uniforms, seems like CFL has been switching styles every 2-3 years lately.

Re: Eskimos 39 - Lions 23 -- Post-Game Comments

Jarious Jackson is in way over his head. He should have been turfed with Washington At first I thought "Jarious Jackson is OC because he's one of Wally's guys". Then I remembered that Wally is not our HC anymore, and Devone can place anyone he wants in that role. Outside of winning a Cup ...

We are at the TiCats one-yard line, and the play ends with the TiCats at the Lions one-yard line. The game in a nutshell.

9 points. That's the Lions first half scoring in the last 4 games. That isn't even pathetic. What's worse than pathetic?
This is abysmal. Wonder how the season ticket renewal will go.

Re: Semi-Final Games, November 11, 2018

Until this past Sunday, I hadn't realized that the 11th was going to be a Sunday. Veteran's day in the USA seems to always be an afterthought from what I see on their TV. To be fair, the US has Veterans Day in November to celebrate current veterans and their service and also Memorial Day in May to ...

Re: Calgary 26 - BC 9, Post-Game Stats and Comments

What a sad regular season finale for Buono. He deserved better. Is this not an embarrassing outing for Jackson and Washington in their roles as Coordinator. They were out-coached. Wally's undying loyalty to his assistant coaches ultimately led to a 9-9 record despite our pretty good personnel. If we...

Re: Chris O'Leary of cfl.ca -- "Who will succeed Buono in B.C.?"

Lions need a HC who is willing to adapt his schemes to suit the strengths of his players rather than have a rigid system that seems to too often try to fit round pegs in square holes. Bingo. We also need a HC who will hire Coordinators that will adapt their system to their personnel. Not the other ...
