Re: Offsides by Sask Receivers
I have to admit I continually commented out loud about their receivers being offside... I'm going to review the tape later today. The PI call was complete bull... it was also sold like dutch soccer player. Give me a break. I actually though the Riders were offside on the last TD too, but slow mo pr...

Re: Eskimos fire head coach Richie Hall
doubt it, Tillman went on record as saying it would be a coach he has worked with in the past. That eliminates Dickenson for sure.almo89 wrote:Maybe Dave Dickenson is a candidate now.

Re: Lions @ Riders, Nov 14, Pre-Game Odds and Comments
We appear to be a confident team heading into Regina on Sunday. Here are some quotes from TSN from Ryan Phillips and Aaron Hunt: "At the end of the day, we're in now and there's nothing nobody else can do about it now," defensive back Ryan Phillips said. "If we're the team that every...

Re: Wpg/Hamilton Edwards vs Shivers catch or INT?
tough call. Does the receiver have possession when he uses the defender's body to secure the catch? I would agree it was an INT based on that fact, it wasn't ever in Edwards control because he only had a hand on it, Shivers had possession as it was secured against him. I think of it like a trap agai...

Re: Game Day Thread - Alouettes at Lions - 2010 07 16
in the lions favor, Edm exposed that Mtl cannot defend the deep ball very well. For the Leos to win that is a key thing that they must exploit. If the Leos can connect on the deep balls, Mtl is very beatable and looks very human.

Re: Offensive Offence Tonight...Lee, Messam, ????
Even more ridiculous is the fact that we continually elected to have the Riders kick to us after a field goal instead of scrimmaging from the 35. More often than not, due to a poor return or a penalty (or both), we lost field position. DH That was interesting for sure. I suspect Wally saw something...

Re: Casey Printers released by Ti-Cats, the Riders interested...
I'd be shocked if the Riders were interested. Tillman has said many times CP is not in the plansm, and he is still involved in the GM stuff even though he is on leave. Local regina news discredits CKNW's report of the Riders having interest as well.
I suspect he ends up in TO or MTL

Re: Kelly Bates on the trade block
Murphy and Bates, the left side of the O Line. It will be tough to replace the two All-Stars. Fortunately the O Line is one place where the Lions have depth in Dean Valli, Jon Hameister-Rhys, Lorne Plante, and Justin Sorensen. I wonder if Wally is interested in acquiring Zeke Moreno in trade for Ba...

good pick up for the Leos. Will be interesting to see how he plays in a different scheme and without Mo and Sean with him.

Re: Rider 17 Potential FA's
With the possibility of losing a couple of LB'ers that high on the Lion's radar and additionally the two OL could hurt the Rider team drastically for the 09 season. With this in mind, they still finished in second with numerous long term injuries, so I am not sure what to expect from them come 09. ...

Re: Rider 17 Potential FA's
The twin Canadian towers in the slots doesn't make sense? You have Jason who you all know can take and hand out punishment and Fantuz a younger version of the same thing. I think it makes great sense to have two very good Canadian slot backs that can go accross the middle and make LBs and DBs think...

Re: Rider 17 Potential FA's
As most people saw the Clermont signing in Sask. as a natural fit, I sorta sat back and scratched my head at the whole thing... First of all, I believe the signing was partly made through external pressure (fans, etc.) and the fact that Tillman had the chance to snare Clermont in the canadian draft...

Re: Rider 17 Potential FA's
No matter how you spin it MIGS Clermonts salary is still part of the SMS calculation and as such will reduce the room for negotiating other players increases. It may not be a big factor if Dominguez and Flick are cut ,but it will certainly factor into things should a bidding war take place, on one ...
