I think the Plaza of nations would have been a better choice for two reasons: 1. The weather may have kept some away. 2. Parking downtown was a real pain. I agree OS_99 but word out today is the Plaza of Nations' roof has been declared unsafe due to eroded screws and is likely headed for the wrecki...

Perhaps the national media that did the voting viewed the game differently than Lions fans that expect a lot from Dickenson every time he steps onto the field. Believe me, I was frusterated at times too on Sunday, but we have also been spoiled at the level of play when the offence is firing on all c...

Hard to estimate the crowd but it was a good turnout. The team was about 30 minutes late arriving and obviously not everyone made it one the bus. When the player introductions finally arrived ... Aaron Hunt and a couple of players ran past us to get in line before their names were called out. ...

What kind of moron puts the santa clause parade on grey cup day? :wag: Ditto :thdn: :thdn: News 1130 reported this year's crowd was much smaller than a year ago and food bank donations were only 20 per cent of last year's total. Maybe it would be wise if they avoid Grey Cup next year. :sigh:

Re: WESTERN FINAL 2006 POST-GAME THOUGHTS

~Chapdelaine had a smart game plan, using the running game effectively, sticking with it, utilizing the vertical passing game wisely,, and taking advantage of mismatches in the Riders secondary. He also moved the pocket for Dickenson and just didn?t keep him in the pocket and that caused heacaches ...

I walked by the stadium yesterday and peeping through the window you should've seen all the advertising signs on the field. Forklifts running back and forth. People were inside getting the concessions ready. Two gals came by and asked me where the East Gate was cause more people had been hired for ...

Nice to see Safeway with "Go Lions Go" in their ads this week.

Very classy of a business that used to have a partnership with the Lions. Now if the Lions can only get that ticket deal back and ditch the 7-Eleven agreement. :cr:

I said lower.... but I was also wrong in ?04 when I thought it was going to top out around 47,000.

I don't think many us believed then it would climb as high as it did.

50,000 is slowly coming into view.

The Province will have two special sections coming out on the game, including tomorrow, and the Sun has one on Thursday as well. These will only add to the hype.

It will be interesting to see what the ticket number is in the next update. Last year, it was at 32,500 on the Wednesday before game. With the lower bowl already down to singles and a good number sold upstairs, they have to be pretty close to 35,000 already. How quick they can hit 40,000 will be key...

No, the $ 29 upper end zone seats have NOT been released. The Lions don't know if the end zones uppers will go on sale. It will depend on demand. Yes they have 120db.... try it. There is no silver ($34) price section in the upper deck..... so the $29 seats start at the 20-yard-line (a great deal!)....
