Good deal for the Argos who are a little thin on Canadian talent with an aging O'Shea. The Als have an ambundance of Canadians having started 10 in the Grey Cup game. Maybe a case of Karikari's potential contract demands being out of place with the SMS kicking in although Stokes is making 100K plus ...

If Wally doesn't get it this year then he never will. Every button he hit this season (Warren, Young, Lockett) was right one and he had to deal with the same injuries to key players (Dickenson, Clermont, Simmons, Singh) as other coaches. Never mind the level of excellence he has brought to the Lions...

It sure didn't look like 400 seats with tags on them. That surprises me! Probably a ton in the upper deck. The between goalline seats in the lower bowl have basically been sold out for the last couple of years. The majority of increase in season ticket holders will likey come upstairs thanks to muc...

I'm sure if Carl was willing to re-sign for 70K-75K a year it could get done. I know he took a pay cut on his last deal to around the 90-100 K range. Problem is Wally just extended 8 players and probably has no more room for another upper salary with Johnson, Williams, Miles, Floyd and Glatt tagged ...

Re: Thelwell, Clermont, Kidd are GONE
Wally has made up his mind. With Chapdelaine gone, Thelwell will not be signed in BC but might surface in Edmonton... most likely out East. Kidd has been slighted and will continue to be a fan favorite in Toronto. Clermont has asked for an extension only to watch every other Lion sign. He'll be in ...

This info is actually from a story in today's Province by Lowell Ullrich. It's subscriber only story by here is a snipet of it. Carl Kidd has received an offer from the Lions, but it's by no means anything like the one he was seeking. The pitch from Wally Buono includes a nice press conference and p...

Jamie Barresi (the former Ti-Cats offensive co-ordinator you just mentioned).DH 8) Yes.. thanks for that the David. Didn't realize he was Hamilton's OC prior to this season. He was one of the fall guys for McManus' poor season but didn't look as bad once Paopao took over. Barresi is more than...

This is only the beginning of changes. This thing will snowball, especially if an OC is brought in from elsewhere. He would undoubtedly want some of 'his guys' Ullrich reported Cortez had contacted Dorazio about bringing him back to Calgary and he declined saying he has the best o-line job in the c...

Dorazio and Krupp were pointed out by Wally as possible replacements, he is talking to them via phone tomorrow as he is on holidays in Hawaii. Yes... Wally made it clear his preference would be to hire within since a good offensive system is already in place. My problem with that is the guy oversee...

Maybe JChap figures Edmonton is a faster way to become a HC than BC was...... Hello Matt Dunigan? Could be... although Wally has hinted that retiring from coaching was not too far around the corner for him. I thought Chaps might have been tagged has his potential replacement. Dunigan would be intri...

WOW... That came out of the blue! SFU alumni is going to be disapointed and I thought Wally might have offered him the assistant HC role here as some kind of promotion to keep him happy. Congrats to Chaps and thanks for your work here the past four seasons. Barrett heading back to B.C...

Thursday's game is on TSN and Seattle's Fox affiliate ? KCPQ. Yesterday's game hardly surprised me. They were damn lucky to win in Denver last week thanks to Shanahan benching Plummer and are very fortunate to be playing in a weak division. The defence has clearly taken a step back this season and t...

Simply I would say the ?06 team with the five Outstanding Player awards putting them over the top. As Robbie pointed out... the ?06 offence was more explosive with more weapons. DD/Buck>Dewalt/Cowan and this year's team had more receiving depth with all four starters capable of have big games if cal...
