Re: A few thoughts on penalties....
Interesting stats. A further break down of penalities would be what we can call football play penalities and non football play penalities. Penalities aquired during the regular run of the play, such as; A split second too late hit on a qb resulting in a roughing the passer penality or a momentary gr...

They may have trouble reading the play book as it is in sign language.
Maybe they can hire one of the Airport traffic control ground crew guys to interpret the signs.

Re: Lions' ship in rocky waters. Can this season be salvage
Here is a Kamau Peterson quote from todays province paper ( Aug 17 article by LU ); " I choose my words carefully for a reason. Its not going to make a difference anyway. Everybody's leash is a different length and I knew that when I came here. If I squandered an opportunity, so be it. " ...

Re: Lions @ Eskimos -- Pre Game Odds and Comments
You can't get to 'slaughter' without 'laughter', so send in the clowns! Actually, I honestly do think the Lions might really spank the Eskimos. I'm sort of at the point where I can't decide if I want this team to show some character and claw its way back to respectability this season, or if it woul...

Good question..... CAN THIS SEASON BE SALVAGED? Here is a Kamau Peterson quote from todays province paper ( Aug 17 article by LU ); " I choose my words carefully for a reason. Its not going to make a difference anyway. Everybody's leash is a different length and I knew that when I came here. If...

Re: Positives vs the Bombers
If making the playoffs saves the coaches their jobs, like it did last year, then I don't want to see lions in the playoffs. So the positive is--the more the losses the more there is a chance for coaching changes for next year. But Riders and Argos keep trying to mess things up as much as the Lions....

I just hope the top sports headline in the morning paper following the game reads;

Dear BC Lions General Manager and Coaches:

Re: How To Fix This Mess?
Fix it with DUCT TAPE. We duct tape a head set onto Wally's head. Someone upstairs sees the opponent's knee touch the turf before he scampers for a 71 yard gain. Then yell at wally through the duct taped headset "THROW THE CHALLENGE FLAG WALLY THROW THE FLAG". While we are at it we can tap...

Re: Riders 41 - Lions 38, Post Game Stats and Comments
This for me sums up the whole season. I would love to know what the coaches were thinking when they lined up to punt. Surely, Rich Stubler was a head coach, he must of thought WTF. If I was a coach/player/trainer/water boy on the team I would of probably got fired right there on the spot because of...

Re: Riders 41 - Lions 38, Post Game Stats and Comments
Here's my peeve. 3rd and 10 from Sask 45, :08 left in the 1st half. Why punt????? Go for it. If you miss, either the half is over or Sask has time for just one play which isn't going to do them any good. If you make it, you probably get a FG. Or wind up and throw a Hail Mary into the end zone. Anyt...

Re: Lions @ Riders, Game Day Thread, November 14, 2010
Mess up Durant's rythym and we have a great chance. Our halfbalks will need to step it up against Fantusz and Dressler. Let's run the ball down their throats and see if the Rider's can defend the run. :good: An excellent way to mess up Durant's rhythm is for our offense to keep their offense off th...

Re: Rider Game
Special teams can be and often is the difference. It would be nice to see Yonus (or Harris) catch the ball on the run while heading straight up the field. All the sideways dancing did not amount to much last game. I seemed like Wally was gesturing to Yonus to head up the field. If that in fact was w...

Re: The block by Nik Lewis on Adam Leonard ...
The league needs to be more consistent with its officiating .( as always ) Legal hits years ago are now illegal . As hits today deemed legal may be deemed illegal going forward. As noted with the low hits by our db's. Legal hits but potentially dangerous. Changes will be made to protect players to b...

Re: The block by Nik Lewis on Adam Leonard ...
I thought the Lewis hit was legal, albeit dirty, Leonard had no shot at making the play, that is my quibble with it. This is what many of us are saying. That it was unnecessary. Unless you are Nik Lewis, after all it's not just a game, it's the Nik Lewis Show. Since when does a player make a decisi...
