Jeff Reinebold

Call me old school...and I love Jeff, remember him from the early 90's, man wears his heart on his sleeve, but I'll tell you what, not sure if the man wants to be a football coach or a celebrity at this point in his life...if he spends 10 percent of the time on Special teams, as he does on his ...

Re: Edmonton at Saskatchewan, Nov. 6, 2010: Game Day Thread

What an oddball CFL season for the Lions. Not really a bad team, but not really a good team either. Crazy CFL. Have no idea what will happen in the Saskachewan/Edmonton game. My hunch is Saskatchewan would rather face Edmonton in the playoffs and that worries me. On form, neither Edmonton or BC ...

I remember one year at training camp after a scrimmage, Eagle Keyes was taking questions from the media. Keyes was asked why Hunsperger had seen limited action, fearing perhaps that he may have been injured, always a possibility with Garrett. Keyes matter-of-factly said not to worry or read anything ...

That's something I had always noticed. That card is inaccurate in another way. Note his position listed as Defensive End. That is also incorrect, Garrett was a Defensive Tackle and damn was he tough to run against. Check out this website for additional name trivia: http://www.cmsu.edu/athletic ...

Jaclyn... Was 1975 Garrett's last year in professional football? I know when he was released by the Lions, one of the local sportwriters indicated the New England Patriots had shown some interest. I saw him play his last game in Empire Stadium as a visitor with the Argonauts. As I said earlier ...

The team in those days was quite a tight knit group and hung out together around town.

So true. I remember reading a newspaper article about him when he was playing on the Argonauts. Basically he said that in Vancouver there was always somebody to run around with after practice and games. In ...

As far as I know, the only player in the league comparable to him strength wise, was Tom Laputka. Does that name ring a bell to anybody here?

I'm Garretts daughter in law. I would love to have as many stories as you can give. Good or bad. I want to have them for my children. Also any paraphenalia that you would otherwise get rid of I will happily take. Thanks.

I just want to say that I am in no way disrespecting the BC Lions. I grew up watching the BC Lions and I continue to remain a fan. My comment was directed more towards the sports culture of cities like Vancouver and Toronto. The fact that they can't draw more than 30,000 fans to a game unless they ...
