Re: Ed Hervey leaves Lions for "personal reasons"
More and more, I'm concerned about the future of the CFL.

Wonder if he has another opportunity...or is he reading the tea leaves re: the CFL's future?

Re: End of the Road for Jennings & Carter?
As the old expression goes...."Million dollar body - ten cent head!" Carter was a waste of space in the Lions lineup. Seemed to be more interested in trash talking with opponents, as well as jawing with opposition coaches and referees than he was at running routes and catching passes. Just...

Re: 20 years ago this week ...
Congratulations and Happy Anniversary, Derek! Sometimes, I thought that I was alone as a Lions fan, but when I stumbled onto this site in 2003, I was happy to see that there were other supporters in the wired world. Your hard work and dedication is always appreciated and you should be proud of the c...

Re: I'm taking time off from the site -- WestCoastJoe
Lloyd aka Shi Zi Mi unfortunately passed away from lung cancer prior to the 2015 Grey Cup in Winnipeg where he resided. He never smoked a day in his life. He attended the Lions' training camp in Kamloops that spring. That was the last time I saw him. I first met him, Bosco and Cromartie at the 2004...

Re: Hamilton at B.C. Aug. 24, 2019
I really really really really hope that the Lions (for once) get things right on special teams. For one thing....last week's thought process of pooch kicking or kicking it short in order to avoid a long runback resulted in excellent field position for the Bombers on almost every possession. It's the...

Re: Argos Shopping James Wilder. Do you think Hervey is Interested
Although Wilder is a fine player, he is far from what the Lions need at this time. White, Rutley and Moore are more than capable running backs.
Lions greatest need right now is on defense. Oh, to have a Willy Jefferson or Charleston Hughes type of player (*sigh*)

Based on the current state of the team, next Saturday's home game against the Ticats should be marketed as "Sit In Your Own Row Night".
Yes, attendance will be THAT bad.

Re: Post Game Thread - Lions & Bombers
There are so many aspects of this team that need to be fixed, it's difficult to know where to start. If it's not an overmatched offensive line, it's a porous defensive line. If it's not bad tackling, it horrible special teams coverage. Inexperienced coaching, failures to adjust at half time,....poor...

2019 New Era Jerseys
Popped into the Lions office after Tuesday's practice, and the "unofficial" word is that the ETA for the corrected New Era replica jerseys is July 27, when the Riders come into town. It's good to see that all parties are working to correct their marketing gaff, but really....just a terribl...

Re: Lions cuts
I believe that there will be quite a bit of shuffling on the Lions D over the first few weeks of the season, and they might also see if someone falls into their lap - much like Davone Coleman did last year.

At last year's Grey Cup, we had the opportunity to speak with Leo Dodge, another loyal Baltimore Stallion fan, CFL fan, and true gentleman.
Leo has been attending Grey Cups since 1994 and his yearly presence is a comforting and purrfect example of what is right with this league.

Re: Lions @ Eskimos - Game Day Thread 20190526
Listening today, I'm quickly reminded how irritating it is to hear Moj refer to the"boundry receiver" 50+ times a game.
