Re: The newly re-designed Grey Cup Trophy

they have to start removing plaques eventually. did you expect it to grown in size indefinitely? The NHL does this already, it just makes sense.

Re: Now Lulay retired - who is your favourite BC Lions Quarterback ever?

For me it is Lulay, but I am biased. He was our quarterback for the majority of the time I have been an adult and actively following the BC Lions He brought home the grey cup on home soil as well achieving MOP & GC MVP honors. Has been a consummate pro and great role model during his entire tenu...

Re: Lions Free Agent Signings - Mike Reilly Signs with Lions $2.9M 4 Years

It is still an uphill climb (possibly scaling a cliff), but the Riley signing is the best they could have possibly done for fan attention outside of a well known NFL name. Riley is one of the best in the league, well known, and is "ours" in that he started his career here. mike riley is c...

Re: Halftime Show

I personally don't think her performing will generate more CFL fans. Most of the people who liked her and watched the show could careless about the CFL or football. Hiring young acts will have minimal impact on generating more interest in watching the CFL or the Grey Cup. Probably most turned off t...

Her full performance is available here on her Youtube page (with 2.8mil subscribers may I add). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0CIcU_SOeM This is why the younger/populous acts are used, exposure to the younger/non-traditional demographic that they need. Anyone asking for a "classic" act ...

BLM goes to the NFL; Jennings signs in Calgary and the Stamps don't lose a beat winning the GC next year too... HAHAHAHHA :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: We have a real comedian here. Jennings has the raw skills, but time and time again once teams prepare for him when he is starting he woefully ...

Re: Alessia Cara to perform Freedom Mobile Grey Cup Halftime Show

So as a 32yr old who listens to new rock & pop/alternative I have heard her hits and find them catchy. The CFL is seriously in danger of dying off with it's older demographic. I can count the number of friends my age or younger that are Lions fans on one hand. The league has to do what it can in...

Re: New Uniforms next year. Adidas out as Uniform supplier.

Personally, I think this is a great opportunity for NewEra. They're headquartered in Buffalo and other than hats and some t-shirts they really aren't prominent in the uniform game. They can, potentially, use the CFL as a testing lab for getting deeper into the college market that Under Armour is no...

Moot point. At the end of year Wally is retiring and there will be a coaching change. 0% chance with Wally's career and accolades that he gets fired in his last year.

There will not be a coaching change this year.

Re: Bombers 41 - Lions 19 -- Post-Game Stats and Comments

Before the game, Ed Willes wrote a damning indictment of Jonathon Jennings, whose job was on the line, according to Wally and Jackson, because he was inconsistent, indecisive and struggling to pick up the offence. I agree with Willes. I was never sold on Jennings, even in his break out year (full d...
