Re: Lions vs. Stamps Oct. 20, 2023
One more thought: I always enjoy Farhan but this afternoon he confidently picked the Black and Orange to win by 14 points. I won't be taking any more tips from him anytime soon.

Re: Lions vs. Stamps Oct. 20, 2023
Lack of a run game, inability to stop the run, unreliable short yardage game means the Lions will be going nowhere in the playoffs. The Lions letting James Butler go in free agency with no adequate replacement represents Campbell's worst decision as Lions HC. Butler was the 2nd leading rusher in th...

Re: Lions vs. Stamps Oct. 20, 2023
Well as much as I would like to continue to partake in this delightful display of BC Lions football skill, I'm afraid that my mental sanity has to take precedence. I wish those of you with a stronger constitution than I a far fetched miracle come back. See you in the playoffs. yes - but not for ver...

Re: Lions vs. Stamps Oct. 20, 2023
Lions had a chance to create plenty of playoff buzz in this town. The air was let out of the balloon with the devastating loss to the Bombers and this putrid performance also in front of the hometown fans damages it further. The way they are playing plus it being a semi-final against likely Calgary...

Re: Lions vs. Stamps Oct. 20, 2023
Add undisciplined to a pourous defence So selfish - terribly depressing to watch. It seems the intensity of today's players leads to more late and post-play penalties - but I'm at the point of calling out Campbell and Phillips for a defence that hands first downs away on penalties like candy at Hal...

Nathan Rourke may dress
Hi all, (I perhaps should have posted this in another section - but posting here as the Lions still have Nathan's CFL rights.) With news that Trevor Lawrence is dealing with a "day-to-day" injury and may not dress this weekend - 3DownNation is reporting that Nathan may be activated from th...

Re: Lions at Ticats Oct. 13, 2023
Win or lose, we need to figure out our D and Oline. I hope I'm wrong, but we may not make the west final, especially if Harris is back. He loves the quick hitter/ short passing game. Ideal against our soft zone, (giving 10 yard cushion). he'll March up and down the field at will. If Harris isn't ba...

Re: Lions at Ticats Oct. 13, 2023
The way that game ended makes you think the Lions should consider a Hamilton-style multiple QB approach. Much like Shiltz was a scary change-up (threatening with the run), Evans looked amazingly poised on his key position. He zipped the ball with accuracy and frankly looked much crisper than VA did ...

Re: Lions at Ticats Oct. 13, 2023
Well, a win is a win but hardly overly impressive. Ticats had no business being in the game cause they got gifted a TD drive on what was an obvious fumble recovered by the Lions - how the goofs in the Command Centre could not get that right is mind numbing. New RB does not look like any kind of ans...

Re: Lions at Ticats Oct. 13, 2023
Ooh man, that was tough to watch despite the win - and a lot of it came down to penalties - both the ones taken and ones not called. Both of BLM's first touchdowns were heavily assisted by penalties - including a clear roughing the passer after the ball was long gone. And taking a contacting the kic...

Re: Lions at Ticats Oct. 13, 2023
JaQuan Hardy didn’t make much of an impact in the running game but he was effective as a receiver and blocker. The Lions had just 10 rushing attempts in the game. Hardy had 8 carries for 26 yards, an average of 3.3 yards per carry, but he had 3 catches for 40 yards and some key first downs. He show...

Re: Lions at Ticats Oct. 13, 2023
As expected, JaQuan Hardy is activated from the practice roster to replace Taquan Mizzell (ribs) at running back Friday. The offence is otherwise unchanged. On defence, the Lions have made several changes. Mike Jones is activated from the 6-game injured list to replace Jalon Edwards-Cooper (shoulde...

Re: Bombers-Lions: The Showdown
I heard I think Dave Naylor say that you can't pick a running back usually for MOP as it all depends on systems or something like. Yah right our system sucks. Jon Cornish, Mike Pringle, Mike Clemons, WIllard Reaves, David Green, Jimmy Edwards, Willie Burden, Bill Symons, George Reed, George Dixon.....

Re: Bombers-Lions: The Showdown
Since all signs point toward this "Gravy Bowl" now becoming a B.C. vs Winnipeg annual event at B.C. Place, I am wondering if the club should consider putting this game on a specific day on the Thanksgiving Day long weekend. My preference would be to play it here at 4:00pm or 5:00pm on Sun...
