Re: Randy Ambrosie optimistic about 2021
I guess I'm a traditionalist because I believe sports are seasonal and should stay that way. I find it hard to be interested in a sport played outside it's normal calendar season. As long at there was hockey, spring training baseball or NASCAR available to watch I'd watch that before any XFL or pri...

Re: Randy Ambrosie optimistic about 2021
Thinking about the XFL and how many viewers would be watching if there were a game today. Only thing better would be if there were two.

Re: 2021 CFL free agency
This is a tough one as I always liked Rutley. I appreciated his tough, bruising running style and ability to run back kicks just like Monroe Eley did for us years ago. I think we're fairly set at the RB position. We have Shaq Cooper and young Reggie Corbin from Illinois whose tape looks impressive ...

Re: 2021 CFL free agency
Sad news about Collins to be retiring at 28. Shows how tough it can be for players and hope that he has something better lined up. He worked hard for his money imo.
Might also be seen as a fallout from the one year contract era where teams fill in parts each year instead of building.

Re: Randy Ambrosie optimistic about 2021
Ambrosie needs to encourage a vaccination priority policy for CFL fans. Show a season ticket stub and get in line.
Ontario now aiming for "every one over 60" starting Mar 15 with plenty of shots to go around.

Re: Randy Ambrosie optimistic about 2021
CFL should concern themselves with getting the players and field personnel cleared to play and play without worrying about making money on every game. Over time it all works out given prudent management. Do what they can do for the fans. It's not like ticket pricing is going down. Either they are in...

Re: Solly to retire from CFL - will continue to reside in Vancouver
I think your source of info is badly out of date. I'm thinking they may be only as of 2008, while Elimimian was still in college, based on that "including 2008" caveat for Eddie Davis' career numbers. Davis played one more year, 2009, adding 57 more. Elimimian holds the record for DTs in ...

Re: Solly to retire from CFL - will continue to reside in Vancouver
Arguably the best MLB to ever play in the CFL. How about "in elite company" Elimimian missing from this list with 833 career tackles. [Defensive Tackle stats were first kept in 1987 and special teams tackles in 1991] Most Defensive Tackles Career: Willie Pless 1241, Mike O'Shea 1151, Alon...

Re: 2021 CFL free agency
Boyko might have been the most overhyped player on this board's history — going back to why did we draft a player with NFL aspirations to the annual training camp updates on him being released only spending years on practice rosters. Agree. Much speculation about whether he will or wouldn't be comi...

Re: 2021 CFL free agency
Ottawa filling their team out quite nicely along with Montreal and TO to challenge Hamilton for the east. What looked like a foregone conclusion a month ago may have some surprises yet. Western teams going 6 - 2 against the East might be an old story if they get playing. Strong possibility of no cro...

Corpse of Odell Willis signed by the Argos. More fun to come.

Re: 2021 CFL free agency
Theoretically Shaq Cooper may have something to do with knowing Mike Reilly and that is not being critical of MR's eye for talent.

Re: 2021 CFL free agency
The thing about "retirement" is that he can always un-retire in the future should something come up, especially if he feels that he has a lot left in the tank.... Good perspective. It's not like there is a bonus to be had and the season is still a long way off. Nothing to really gain by s...

Re: 2021 CFL free agency
Nice addition by the Bombers with Bryant Mitchell.
No doubt a team friendly deal with upside if he can return to the form he showed a few years ago. Nice to see they are giving Buck something to work with. Offense should not be a problem providing they can stay healthy.
