Re: Leos vs Calgary - Its Crunch Time!
Great read Blitz. I don't comment often but lurk always. Regarding the media... I've only lived in two markets so don't have a feel for anywhere but here and Edmonton. I always felt the print and radio media in Edmonton to be much more balanced than Vancouver. The media here are petrified of Wally f...

Re: Leos vs Argos and Game Day Thread
Unfortunately Ed has done this before, in his first year as GM of Edm IIRC he publically ripped Simeon Rottier. It was bad enough to warrant a complain from the CFLPA. Lalacheur would be well aware of that. https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/amphtml/blogs/cfl-55-yard-line/cflpa-complains-eskimos-general-ma...

Re: Should Lions Start Jennings Again
Wally shattered Jennings confidence, and it appears he is eroding Lulay's now. If Jennings does return next season, and I would hope he does, it will almost certainly be under a new coaching staff. He'd have a chance to regain his confidence, therefore his form again. The only reason for starting Je...

I hate to admit but I listened to Pratt too....If Pratt said it, then the opposite must be true.TheLionKing wrote: ↑Tue Jul 24, 2018 12:20 pmDavid Pratt of TSN 1040 speculated this morning that the Commissioner Randy Ambrosie was instrumental in making the deal happen

Re: Lions 20 - Bombers 17, Post-Game Stats and Comments
Given the circumstances - the severity of Lulay's injury, the lack of any game action for almost a year, how bad the team has been so far this season - that is right up there with Lulay's best ever performance. He was rusty for sure, but got better as the game went on, and made the critical throws w...

Got it. I hope when its all said and done, he ends up with a few more years of playing time that makes us forget the injuries, and eventually becomes the Lions head coach.Huge Talent wrote: ↑Sat Jul 14, 2018 10:59 pmTrue that. My apologies, that word "shame" triggered me, as I just can't associate it with TL14.

Re: Winnipeg at B.C. July 14, 2018 preview and Game Day Thread
How good would Lulay's career been if he didn't have the injury history? Such a shame Shame? I think he's had a pretty respectable career, and he's a grey cup champ! Respect. Of course he's had a very good career. I'm just saying without his injury history he could very well been one of the all tim...

WB is now the worst coach in the league. Sad way to end a HOF career.

Re: Bombers 41 - Lions 19 -- Post-Game Stats and Comments
I have been a fan since 1959 and this is the worst performance on both sides of the ball I have seen. Zero pass rush? Where is the improved Offensive line? Jennings is lost, he can't read defences and looks to Burnham or Manny. The defensive backs were chasing all nite and playing off the Bomber re...

Now we'll see if the head coach reporting to the GM who reports to the head coach really works. If it does, there will be a lot of changes very soon
