Re: Bombers and Coach O'Shea
The Bomber fans are mad at Grigsby for asking for his release so they are glad that he is gone. I think O'Shea is trying to change the culture to one of discipline and accountability and winning. Apparently it cannot be accomplished in just one season. Every one says RBs are plentiful and easy to r...

Bombers and Coach O'Shea
I wonder what the Bomber's equivalent of the Lionbackers are saying about their coaches. Are they as negative as the Lionbackers are about their team's coaches? The Bombers HC O'Shea does have an interesting if not questionable strategy to improve his team's performance: That is, de-activate your to...

Re: The Positives
I guarantee the grey cup will not sell out ( unless sask is in it)[/quote] Pretty sad commentary on Vancouver "CFL-based" fans. So Vancouver is not going to be in the Grey Cup. Get over it!! Enjoy the game and occasion. I was at the 2005 Grey Cup and the Lions weren't in it and it was a s...

Re: Grey Cup halftime show is Imagine Dragons
Imagine Dragons is a fantastic selection for Grey Cup halftime and I would think the remaining seats will be sold quickly. Virtually unheard of, Imagine Dragons came out with Radioactive and gradually over several months it became a super hit for them and proved to be a catalyst for their music car...

Re: Random thoughts - CFL WAKE UP
A couple of thoughts that have really started to irk me as the season has gone along: 1) CFL defensive backs are allowed to clutch, grab, hold, receivers downfield: - Next time you're at a Lions home game, just watch how secondaries in the CFL play the receivers. - Oh so you want to run a 10 yard c...

Re: Stampeders 14 - Lions 7 Post Game Stats and Comments
Wow, I can't believe Coach Benevides made those comments about his other receivers, namely the Canadian receivers. Basically he is saying that they are useless or hopeless. The truth of the matter is that these receivers have had very little chance to participate as the ball is not thrown their way,...

Ratio, maybe - but Burnham has 0 yards receiving and no regular season game experience.

Re: Courtney Taylor - done for the year
Sorry to hear about Taylor's injury. A great contributor to the team. How is it possible that Jackson may not be dressed when he has twice as many yards as the other two wide-outs combined (298 vs 103 + 37)?

!) Hook and Ladder: Glenn to Gore (15 yards), flip to Arceneaux for long run for TD (untouched). 2) TD68 (Jackson to Adkins): QB Glenn short roll right after backing up from standard, non shot gun snap (holding safety or moving him right); SB Gore in tight to line on right side, runs diagonally acro...

Re: Quality of the CFL season
These days in the CFL there appears to be a huge difference between between watching the game on TV versus being in the stands for enjoyment/entertainment value. The commentary and camera work on TSN is very good making even a poor Lions performance (eg, Winnipeg game) look reasonable. I was in the ...

Re: Practice Roster
Tuninei and Hardy-Tuliau may have been released to make room for other players in for a look see. They may have been signed to contracts for next year. This may indeed be true, but are not 15 players allowed in the PR come September according to the new CBA? By cutting Tuninei and Hardy-Tuliau, the...

Practice Roster
Very sorry to hear that Tuninei and Hardy-Tuliau were released from the Lions Practice Roster today. It's tough for these young guys after being on it from the beginning of the season in June (Tuinei since July). Wish them well. Lokombo takes a spot. Odd though, accoding to the new CBA - Practice Ro...

Re: Bo knows Lions - Lokombo in the fold.
Let's cut out the hype on Lokombo. He hasn't done a darn thing yet, and probably has never played a down of Canadian football in his life (being from BC HS and all!). Probably knows nothing about the CFL (being from BC HS and all!) I wish him well but don't see anything special. Just another over-hy...

Re: Players to Watch
Silently, without comment, on the Lions' Practice Roster for over the past month has been WR Lavasier Tuinei . Tuninei was the Offensive Player of the Game in the 2012 Rose Bowl in which his Oregon Ducks defeated the Wisconsin Badgers 45-38 in one of the most exciting Rose Bowl games ever. Indicatio...

Re: Lions' O Line for 2014 - Cory Brandon 3 years on BC rada
I often wonder how a new player on the roster can simply join a team mid-season and immediately get a starting position for the next game. This is the case with Cory Brandon, and was the case with Cave. What about all the hard work put in by other players through training camp and the weekly practic...
