Re: 2019 schedule
As an Islander with season's tickets, I am always hopeful there will be more than just 1 Saturday game with a 4:00 kick-off. Folks from the Island will go to games and in particular, adults with kids in tow, have their eyes peeled for those 4:00 weekend games so they don't have the added expense of...

Re: Atlantic Schooners
Note that Seattle's WNBA team is called the Storm ... so it's not surprising that that name was not used.

Re: 2018 All Things Lions Marketing & Promotions
I just checked ... single game tickets last year for Coaches Sideline, so anywhere between the 20 yard lines, were priced at $94 per ticket. How the heck are you going to attract a casual fan to sit at the 30 yard line for almost $100, or pushing $200 for a couple. Of course people are just going to...

Re: 2018 All Things Lions Marketing & Promotions
Another fallout of the Lions overpricing the Sideline seats is that long time season ticket holders, like Huge Talent, get fed up and then downgrade to lower priced season tickets i.e. from Coaches Sideline to Red Zone. If they made the Sideline category prices a better deal he wouldn't have downgr...

Re: 2018 All Things Lions Marketing & Promotions
So they raised prices at mid field by $20 per season seat, keeping the the outer coaches sideline the same as before. Everything else seemed to go up slightly I think. I moved from mid field to the red zone on the 20 for next year.. Saving around $400 on the pair. Will be nice to be closer to half ...

Re: Lions name Jarious Jackson offensive coordinator and QB coach
I must have missed it, but I see that RP21 is now a regional scout for the team. A good move keeping Ryan involved with the team in some capacity. Another class guy.

Re: 2017 All Things Lions Marketing & Promotions
And the Red Zone tickets should start in the sections at the 30 yard lines i.e. that's 4 more sections that should be Red Zone rather than Coach's Sideline. Or create another price point for those sections between the 20 and 30 yard lines at no more than $60 per ticket. Casual fans, young people wil...

Re: 2017 All Things Lions Marketing & Promotions
The other strategy I don't get is the constant "charge as much (or just a tiny break - in some cases more) and get "X" or "X and Y" with it." The Lions do these value adds with almost every promotion. NO! Just try a promotion with a steep discount sans the extras. I do...

Re: 2017 All Things Lions Marketing & Promotions
Just went to the Lions website, same old pricing/seating zone structure. Good grief. $198 for 3 game pack for the Red Zone, which for me is the first decent seat. After taxes and fees, that's pushing $70 per ticket per game ... should be like $50 to 55 given the state of current demand. $261 for Coa...

Re: 2017 All Things Lions Marketing & Promotions
As many have said in this thread, in the past 5 or 6 years the Lions have totally missed out on the youngsters who are now in their 20's. They are the customers and fans of the future. When I was in my 20's (the 80's) in university the Lions were a big deal to all of us. My 21 year old son is only a...

Re: Lions and RP21 part ways
I suspect that will be it for RP21. 12 years playing professional is a very good run. Class guy, one of the great long-time Lions. If he does not catch on with another team hopefully we see him at BC Place sometime this summer. Might be future coaching material.

Re: Lions ownership discussion thread
$25 to 30M selling price should get it done. Drop in the bucket for the Aquilini's.

Re: Lions ownership discussion thread
I'm totally o.k. with the Aquilini's owning the Lions, especially if Sidhoo is also involved. Important to have a football guy involved. Deep pockets also important in terms of investing in the team i.e. practice facility, marketing. I can see Wally sticking around to some degree for 2 or 3 more yea...

Re: Rintoul is toast (grab the pitch forks and storm TSN 104
Couldn't agree with you more re the overexposure of the NFL vs. CFL. I enjoy all football talk, but way too many NFL insiders. And agree re Mitch Berger ... comes across extremely arrogant. If they got rid of Pratt and Bro Jake hopefully that would also be the end of Berger. Hopefully Rintoul gets h...
