Re: lions going to take advantage of the NHL lockout ?

Yeah well 1040, has become so corporate, I just can't listen to it sometimes, I remember 1040, when it first started, it was refreshing to listen too, know it has become another 980 sports talk with Dan Russell, anybody listen to the new Dave Pratt show, very refreshing to listen too.

Re: Lions may wrap up 1st place by October 6th!

I tell you if the Lions do wrap up first place early this year they better start selling tickets early, and promote. if they think they are going to let the western final will sell itself they have got another thing coming.

Re: lions going to take advantage of the NHL lockout ?

I see the Giants are reducing their ticket prices to draw more fans to their games. Status quo as usual for the Lions

This is what I am talking about are the lions going to do enough, to get buts into the seats while this lock out is happening ? Look at the giants, only time will tell,

Re: lions going to take advantage of the NHL lockout ?

As long as they have the same old dinosaurs running the marketing and ticket campaigns, then the answer is a resounding no. No change at all. Realistically, I don't see the NHL lockout having any impact on the Lions. Realistically I think that crows of 30,000 are about what you can expect. Every onc...

Re: lions going to take advantage of the NHL lockout ?

Seriously, if things unfold accordingly over the next couple of weeks to set up a first place showdown with the Stamps, then anything less than 35,000 would be a disappointment, given there should be considerable build-up and hype for this game with no hockey on the Vancouver sports radar. I totally...

Re: lions going to take advantage of the NHL lockout ?

Ok I say yes and no, why ? I think if the lions do not get creative, here they will be left in the dark yes they have a 3 game package starting at $30.00, but they need to do more, already all the media is talking about the Giants, and how they are going to benefit, a bit with the whitecaps and even...

Re: Roof open 12/09/15 vs Tor

It is a diffrent stadium all together with the roof open, seems like a real football stadium, with it closed it seems to close to the old bc place, all though there is a nice breeze when it is closed.

Re: Ticket Prices / Lions' Marketing

Take a look at the ticket sales so far for Calgary, on ticket master, does not look good, my worry is that fans will forget that the Calgary game will be happening on oct 6th, unless the lions promote the hell out of this games starting this week, i know it is three weeks away, but they can not leav...

Re: Ticket Prices / Lions' Marketing

Until they lower those ticket prices , the attendance is going to hang around the 30,000 mark, and having one afternoon game is good , but three in a row, spread the games out more during the season, what really gets me is this team is 8-3 and we can only get 28,000 today, I remember back in 2007 the...
