CFLHorsemen Column: Evaluating the Trenches at the Combine

I just spent my weekend watching Youtube videos of the line one-on-ones from the CFL Combine and doing an analysis of the offensive and defensive lines.

I think it is a good read. Check it out here:

Re: CFLHorsemen.ca Update!

Great work on this! Loved the notes next to each player. Very well researched and thought out. :beauty: I think Wally's FA involvement will be largely predicated on whether he can sign Olafioye and Elimimian. Those two are going to eat up a lot of cap space made available from the departure of Simo...

Re: CFLHorsemen.ca Update!

I do agree that the free agency class is pretty weak. I thought the most coveted free agent was Jeff Perrett, and he re-signed today in Montreal. Foley would be the next guy, but he hasn't made a lot of noise in the last couple years. Here are today's site updates: I have written an article as to so...

CFLHorsemen.ca Update!

CFLHorsemen Update For those trying to sort out what moves the Lions should make in free agency, I have compiled a current list of free agent players by position. I also include relevant information such as age, years in the CFL, where Canadians are from, awards, etc.. Check it out here: http://www....

Special Evaluation of CFL Special Teams

I have recently updated my blog which takes a comprehensive statistical view at all CFL special teams. I look at punt, punt return, kickoff, kickoff return, and field goal. If you like statistics and charts and that kind of thing, this will be up your alley. At the end of the article, I give an over...

Re: Reilly to test free agency

I suspect he'll wind up in Edmonton. They really, really need to get younger at that position.

Free Agents?

Usually when a team is knocked out, word about their upcoming free agents tends to come out. Has anything been released by the media yet? Are there any guys that you know are free agents?

I heard that Geroy Simon just goes year to year, so he would be one.

Re: Leos/Stamps WDF Keys to the Game

When it came to the decision of who to start, most Stamps fans said it didn't matter. Either QB could win for them, though each does it differently. I guess both proved that right so far.

Re: Leos/Stamps WDF Keys to the Game

The Stamps keys to win: 1. Get a jump on the Lions. They haven't played in two weeks, and haven't played a meaningful game since Thanksgiving. They won't be as polished and you need to take advantage and get ahead early. 2. Take the crowd out of the game. An early lead will do just that. 3. Take ad...

Re: Western Conference Final Game Thread

It is Edwin Harrison's 28th birthday! I'm hoping the Lions give him a trip to Toronto for his present.

Re: Calgary injuries

Simpson is a bigger loss than Tate. It was pretty much a coin flip between Tate and Glenn. There is no coin flip when choosing between Simpson and Mayo. The backup, Mayo, however, comes with an excellent pedigree. He beat McCune and Lobendaum out of a job in training camp. His speed is incredible fo...

Re: Ray trade could set Esks back 10 years, says Reed - T. J

I can't understand how there can be any Tillman defenders left. The guy is a bad man and we'll be a better league and country when the guy leaves both and heads home. I have never seen the firing of one team's GM bring so much happiness to fans of all teams. By contrast, pretty much all of the non-E...

Re: Leos/Stamps WDF Keys to the Game

Another key for Calgary is to keep the game close. If it goes down to the last minute, the Stamps are something like 9-2. They seem to have the moxie to pull it out at the end.
