Re: Braley Wants to Sell Lions
I'd like to be positive and think he is making room for all the winning trophies the Lions will win in the next few years under new ownership. Who ever buys the club needs deep pockets with real money at their beckoning call. We have had enough owners tied to real estate holdings and penny stocks. I...

Re: 20 years ago this week ...
Thanks Derek. With very little Lions coverage, this site is a godsend for info .
I'm looking forward to another year.

Re: Braley Wants to Sell Lions
To paraphrase, "it’s going to happen when it happens". Not very encouraging. A couple said no but 5-6 are interested. Really? I'm curious to know who the potential brides are.

Maybe a bit off topic but I'm hoping for Blitz to return with his "the night before Christmas".

Re: Who Got the Better Coach - Ottawa or BC?
I vote BC as Campbell has been to the dance 3 times as a HC and still has lots of years left to go a few more times. We now need a OC to tailor to Reilly style not trying to mold Reilly to their style. Campbell coming here reminds me of when Wally first came here years ago--a successful coach with a...

Re: 2019 Grey Cup Game Day Thread
How true Hambone but I just want a coach to put together 60 minutes of exciting football and come out with a win. He can be the "emperor has no clothes", but who cares. I understand the job is also a PR exercise but at the end of the day it is more of "what have you done for me"....

Re: CFL free agency - official list of pending free agents
Interesting comment. I'm sorry to see that Chiu is gone as he is a local Richmond lad. One thing seemingly overlooked by many on the improved O-line performance after Chiu was released is the fact the change in center to Philip Norman happened almost at the same time . I don't at all think Kelly Bat...

" But I think if Hervey is to save his job, Lions must make the playoffs or he will be next to be shown the door."
The Lions have to finish at least 3rd in the West for Hervey to keep his job (if I was running the club).

Re: DeVone Claybrooks fired
This is major league sports. You loose and you fire the coach (face to the fans). Nothing personal, it is just business. Imagine if you are an assistant and waking up to this news.

Re: What Happens Now
Before we analyse who goes or stays, we need to start with the ownership issue. It is theirs to resolve, not inherit. I didn't vote because my option wasn't available. We need the ownership situation sorted out. It has been well documented of Brailey's desire to sell the team. That should be the #1 ...

Re: Calgary at B.C. Nov. 2, 2019 - Game Day Thread
good analysis DanoT Bridge played pretty well, but he is such a sandlot, improvising type player that I have always wondered about his ability to read defenses. Anyone have an opinion? I thought Bridge showed great poise in the pocket and pushed the ball downfield on time. The TD to Burnham was perf...

Re: Who Will Be First to be Fired
Lets see, the GM hires the players and the Coach has to blend them into his play theory. Hmmm. Can't wait to see what transpires.

Re: Atlantic Schooners
There is going to have to be a lot of back room persuasion for this to pass. Having ratepayers come to the table is not a popular issue and unfortunately it is not the NHL but the CFL.
Best of luck to the Schooners.
