Jennings and the Lions looked amazing, I agree.
But perspective is everything. They won against the leagues worst team. Sask gives up tonnes of yards. They have been brutal this year. Time will show how Jennings does against a top ranked defence...
Having said that, Hawkins, Arecx, Gore, Collie ...

Re: Lions @ Stampeders -- Post Game Stats and Comments
I don't think Jennings overthrew Hawkins. He is a big guy and isn't that speedy. Thought he was brought in for speed. Or was it for the Tedford Tightend experiement? Either way, I'm more a fan of Nik Lewis' style. Even as a stocky (slightly chubby) receiver, he gets open, has great hands, and is a ...

Re: Lions @ Stampeders -- Post Game Stats and Comments
Defense is playing marginally better...
Except for Phillips. The dude is softer than a pillow and has lost a step. Afraid to tackle. He may be sound positionally, but time to get a younger, tougher player. He's become a noticible liability on many plays.

It is almost comical that if two of the most important Off starters, in Lulay and Harris, go down with injuries, Antolin and Beck are next up in the pipeline. Lol. Really?? That's the contingency plan??
Not to offend them or slight their character... but they aren't starter material. Even little ...

Re: Travis Lulay and the long ball
Mexicolionfan... it's way more complex.
For starters. Some injuries can't be fixed to 100%. Some can't be fixed to even 50% and some body parts can't be repaired at all. The damage done to Lulay's shoulder isn't the kind that can be simply surgically repaired to 100%. Even WITH the surgical ...

There have been a few good points raised. Didn't see the game yet but from the sounds of it there are some patterns emerging:
1 - Lulays Arm.
After the Sask wins, many pundits both professional and casual, proclaimed "Travis is Back! He can throw!" It was great to see him back in action and win ...

O line didn't make anything happen for the run game. (What run game?)
D line wasn't very effective either.
Kick returning was lacking too. Tim Brown and Logan aren't long term solutions... but they were better IMO than what we have now.
I also agree that Travis' arm ...

Re: Als disrespect the Lions ?
MONTREAL —
Ryan Phillips thought about for it awhile and agreed if the tables were turned, his team might have done the same thing, but the veteran Lions defensive back ultimately concluded the Als were guilty of trying to run up the score in the rout.

Ok, yes its a win... BUT it was pure luck - inspite of the coaching.
14 seconds left. They blow snapping the ball and do a run play???? And even after the ref's gave them some time due to some procedural issues. So they blow the play in and they wait around to snap the ball and then the player runs ...

What's the difference between the Caramilk Secret and Chapdelaine's offence?
Nobody has figured out the Caramilk Secret yet..'
Lol.
There once was two coaches,
J. Chap and Wally B,
coaching football like it's still '73
Dropsome Collins, now in Alberta,
Ryan Phillips, he can't hurt ya!

Re:
Of course Chap still has to practice hand signals as he won't do like ALL other football coaches - just tell the QB the play and use the time to remind him to get that back picking up ODELL WILLIS. Instead he signals a play so that his entire offense and their entire defense, coaches and spotters ...

Become a Tiger Cats fan!
The BC Lions are the 'new' Tigercats, who were really horrible for so many years. Now, they seem to have a little moxy and can compete. AND, they have a group of cast-offs, vets and 2nd stringers.... Glenn, Cobourne, Bruce.
They are a classic 'underdog' team to cheer for ...

Re: Tired of excuses
Lulay can't get it done when he needs to. Receivers still can't catch the ball. Sanchez too slow at safety. Time for big changes. Overestimated talent again in training camp.
Yeah. Sigh.
With the coaching... we can't expect anything different. It's embarrassing at this point though. But I really ...

Hey, 0-4 is not good. And a potential 0-5 looming looks quite possible.
But let's be honest. It could be worse. Last year was a harder pill to swallow so to speak IMO.
With Wally, JC and Mike B I didn't really expect much different... if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck....
