Mark Washington has been selected as the CFL defensive player of the week, as a result of his blocked punt + 40 yard INT return against Hamilton.

Yeah, Mark had a hell of a great game last week. What I'm surprised at, is that BC Lions.com has already posted this, yet CFL.ca has not posted the rest of the PoW honours. Are they

Washington has been pretty quiet this season, im glad he had such a good game last week

I for one salute him. I was hard on him early, but he was probably exposed a bit due to the secondary needing to get use to each other.
Cheers tomark who has really played well these past 10 -13 games or so.

He was all to noticeable in the first part of the season, and I tend to like him being very quiet side during games.

Amidst all the BC Lions who have been selected for the Western All-Star team as well as the individual player awards, let's not forget that a BC Lion was also selected for last week's defensive player of the week - Barron Miles.
