I totally support the concept and target demographic they're trying to reach out to as my demographic is not it, nor should it be. The bad news is it isn't rock. The good news is it isn't country.SammyGreene wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2024 10:04 amAnd they go rap/hip hop for the 2nd straight year with 50cent who performed as part of the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show with Dr Dre at SoFi Stadium.
Sure looks like Doman is targeting Millennials and you can’t blame him given it’s a key demographic in the Lions rebuilding effort.
Quite a few tickets sold in the upper deck today looking at Ticketmaster. Unlike the Whitecaps - no premium pricing just extra value (whether you like rap or not).
Tickets are literally flying off the shelf. Since opening sales on Monday they've opened up the entire upper deck except for 14 upper deck sections between the aisles for 421 and 435 plus the top 5 rows of 11 sections at the far end of the stadium from the stage. Yesterday they added the sections between aisles 419 & 420 and aisles 436 & 437. Overnight the sections between aisles 420 & 421 and aisls 435 & 436 were added, All 4 of those sections are about 70% sold. The bulk of available seats are in the higher part of the upper deck at the far end of the stadium from the stage. I estimate roughly 45K seats have been made available with maybe 3K still left assuming there aren't some large blocks that haven't been made available but are disquised as sold.
Doman sure hit it big time with 50Cent. Doing some digging he apparently charges between $700,000 to $1 million (US) for these performances. Have to think it’s less given the length of this pre-game concert but no way is he doing it for a steep discount.
