I hope that Phillips can return to his 07 form and find a few of those picks he was securing for 09. Glover is probably the best of the group of DB's in results, although Dante has the more difficult coverage area.

That is going to solidify the Lions DB's and OL in the recent signings.

With Angus Reid in negotiations and expected to sign an extension soon, the only remaining starter heading into his option year without a new contract is Lyle Green, who turned 33 this year. It will be interesting to see Wally's intentions with him.

Great off-season job by Wally extending all these guys.

As dependable as Lyle Green has been, he might be vulnerable. Although he has been a good ball carrier, the Lions did not use him much in that capacity last year, if at all. Still good on special teams, but the Lions have a lot of young guns for that role. Even if he is re-upped he would be vulnerable to any new non-import that has ability on ST. It's a shame that he has been so under-utilized his whole career.

We had Lyle on the bubble last season as well. I don't see his position within the team changing, just thankful that we have that kind of talent to go to if need be.

I do think that it is the consensus of this board that he is waaaaaay under utilized.
