I'm choked. I'm totally choked. Who else is choked?
Moderator: Team Captains
It was a not-unexpected loss to a talented, hungry and well-prepared team. We can talk about why it happened and what needs to be done for next year, but I'm not choked. The Lions lost the turnover battle and couldn't overcome it. They've compiled a record four straight first-place finishes, two Grey Cup appearances and one Cup victory. I can't be choked about that. Hopefully this loss will help the team come back more hungry to knock off the Riders next year.

I think there was too much NOISE and it threw the Lions off.

I'm upset and stunned but not choked. As B.C. Fan pointed out, there's been too many positives in the Lions den lately that I can't be choked at the team. I was disappointed in the lack of execution on Sunday but Saskatchewan is a damn good football team so it's not like we lost to a bunch of bums. We'll be back more focussed and determined next year and still have the talent to compete and win a Grey Cup. The only thing I'm choked about is that we have to wait another 7 months before we can get that bad taste out of our mouth.

And the worst part of it was that 120 needed to start a new thread about it.

who is renewing thier season tickets
Well we are first time season ticket holders and i tell you we had a great time all year, but i don't care if they are playing infront of 10,000 people that was a dissgrace today, and that right there proved to me that we have won 4 division titles and nothing to show for it except last year, so my decision to renew will be tough i am not jumping off any bandweagan or anything i think that we should have had our team ready, this reminds me of when we went 11-0 in 2005 hosted the WF again played like crap. when our grey cup was right here in our back yard. well we were suppose to win 2 in a row this year and there is no excuse why we are going home so i am going to see what the team does in the off season, exspecally with DD get him out of hear, and if they can re sighn JJ who i think if played all year would have had huge numbers. what does everybody else think.?
Stay thirsty my friends.

And the worst part of it was I'm certain that I saw Wally clapping.
This place is turning into The Jim Rome Show, what with the callbacks. :lol:TheLionKing wrote::lol:   :lol:TheZeppo wrote:And the worst part of it was I'm certain that I saw Wally clapping.120dB wrote:I'm choked. About what happened Sunday. Who else is choked?
Sports can be a peculiar thing. When partaking in fiction, like a book or movie, we adopt a "Willing Suspension of Disbelief" for enjoyment's sake. There's a similar force at work in sports: "Willing Suspension of Rationality". If you doubt this, listen to any conversation between rival team fans. You even see it among fans of the same team. Fans argue over who's the better QB or goalie, and selectively cite stats that support their views while ignoring those that don't.
