GAME ON: WESTERN FINAL BREAKFASTGATER
NOVEMBER 14.20

Here we go Lion's fans. This is the big game of the year. Win and it's on to Ottawa, lose and it's season over. The Saskatchewan Roughriders will be returning to the dome after being sent to Edmonton the previous week in and exciting 40-38 Lion's last play of the game win.

It's DOME field advantage in the house of pain.

Lionbackers.com and Section 17 are going hard for this game, getting things underway at 8:00am with Breakfastgater 2004, Western Final Edition.

Breakfast fare is on the menu, with Orange Juice and Coffee of both the normal and enhanced varieties. We're expecting a big crowd not only in the dome but at the lot, so come early and get primed for some hungry Lions under the dome. If you would like to participate, bring a donation for supplies, some form of food and of course you're own refreshments. We usually have lots to go around, especially for out of town guests.

We are heavily encouraging colours of black and orange for this game. And bring your vocal chords as well.

The 13thman WILL be heard by the nation on November 14th.

Rider fans add to Lionbackers.com gig
OCTOBER 30.20

It was chili night at the October 30th edition of our tailgating season. This night of course saw the Saskatchewan Roughriders in town for a big match against the division winning Lions.

The tailgate was a huge success attracting at least 50 or so people throughout the evening, with a good mix of Rider and Lion fans mingling about and enjoying some good food, some good natured ribbing, and CFL banter.

Of course at the end of the night the good gys won again and sent the Riders to Edmonton, instead of hosting their first playoff game in over a decade.

We'll now enjoy the bye week and rest ourselves up for the WDF on November 14th.

Lions feast on bombers, 17'ers on perogies
OCTOBER 15.20

Section 17 pulled out the Ukranian fare for a date with the Winnipeg Bluebombers on October 2nd.

The eating was tasty and a little gooey as well, and the Lion's took care of the Bombers with a second half effort that basically shut down the blue and gold.

The turnout was a little disappointing for this one, and PGLionking was completely sober which was a scary site. He misssed the tailgate....serves him right.

Lionbackers.com cranks it up again on October 22nd versus the Stamps.

It's on: Lionbackers TG versus T.O. TG: Round 2
OCTOBER 15.20

Section 17 lost a bet to a bunch of Argo fans on a tailgating turnout earlier this season.

Well, we're out to redeem ourselves and the tailgate for the final game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders is now going up against the Argo tailgate versus the Ticats.

We invite all of you who have thought about coming by to do so and remind all our regulars to make an appearance at this tailgate which will feature the chilli of BC49 others on "Chilli Night."

Eskinator weekend a success all around
SEPTEMBER.26.04

Section 17 welcomed great CFL fans Eskinator and True42 to Vancouver for a weekend of fun and football.

By all accounts the weekend was a huge success. The sun even made an appearance right when our tailgater started.

BBQ Ribs were on the menu and the eating was good.

The day was topped off by a close football game between two great teams and the Lions squeeked out a huge 36-33 OT victory over the Edmonton Eskimos, solidifying their grip on first place in the Western Conference.

ROAD TRIP REPORT: Yeah, we own Alberta...
AUGUST.28.04

Section 17 and a few other good BC Lions fans rolled into Alberta for the second time this season, and for the second time this season we left victorious, this time with a 25-18 OT win in McMahon stadium.

You could say we kinda....hell we own Alberta.

SEAFOOD NIGHT SINKS ARGOS
AUGUST.28.04

Shrimp on the barbie!
Can you say chowda? BC49 is quickly becoming known as the chef of Section 17.

Our first seafood night was a success, and 49's chowder was a huge hit. There were more prawns than you can imagine, and other seafood goodies that made the inaugral seafood night a success.

Had some Argo fans stop by and some more CFL fellowship took place as all had a good time.

Of course the night was topped off by another Lions victory, a 31-10 mauling of the Toronto Argonauts.

Another great tournout, with others wishing they were tailgating as they walked to the game and saw our crew. The events continue to grow so what are you waiting for?

Come on out and tailgate Section 17 style and discover a whole other reason to love Lions football!
