B.C. LIONS
OFFENCE PASS LIONS: B
Damon Allen missed the big bomb when it was open, but was near surgical on
the short stuff, drawing LBs and hitting the shovel pass and the slots
inside. Fabulous pass protection. Big clutch grabs by Alfred Jackson.
OFFENCE RUSH LIONS: A
Used a myriad of different blocking schemes. Sean Millington was
relentless, breaking tackles and churning out the yards. Robert Drummond
broke game open with explosive runs.
DEFENCE PASS LIONS: C
Had solid pressure, especially Noah Cantor, using several different
fronts. Big interceptions for Mike Fletcher and one for Eric Carter but
Central McClellion was burned twice late to keep Montreal in the game.
DEFENCE RUSH LIONS: C
Chose to use smaller DBs and LBs to deal with Pringle while the linemen
did the dirty work and plugged up the offensive line. Pringle had some
bursts through the line, but was limited by solid tackling.
SPECIAL TEAMS LIONS: B
Lui Passaglia was asked to do a lot, as they pushed his range trying three
45-yard-plus field goals, but he hit the big kick when it counted. Some
coverage breakdowns on returner Winston October.
MONTREAL ALOUETTES
OFFENCE PASS ALOUETTES: C
Even with a three man-front, the Lions used good schemes to get to Anthony
Calvillo. He threw a horrible pick to set up the Lions first TD. Jock
Climie had a monster grab late but was slow getting started.
OFFENCE RUSH ALOUETTES: B
While Mike Pringle looked dangerous, he didn't bowl over the Lions
defenders as he did in the past, and appeared to be less than
full-strength. Game plan was stunted as they played from behind.

DEFENCE RUSH ALOUETTES: D
Little push up front and they failed to wrap up Millington or
Drummond when they had the chance. Consistently had their arm tackles
broken and found themselves shorthanded due to the B.C. blocking schemes.
SPECIAL TEAMS ALOUETTES: B
Air-tight coverage on Lions kick returners, and when October got his hands
on the ball he threatened to break the big one several times. Terry Baker
was solid. He could be in B.C. next season.
HERO
Damon Allen He got it done when it mattered most. Leadership, poise,
skill.
