Ok before the buzz is completely over ...

How many are thinking about making the trip into the frigid for next year?

Just checked online and West Jet isn't allowing you to book airfare yet. But I did do a test run of a Wednesday to Monday flight (used September 2006 just as a test) and I got a price of $1289.02 from PG return for 2 adults.

time to start watching for seat sales ...

I've been to 4 out-of-town Grey Cups this century and for two adults the financial hit usually comes in around the 3k mark. And this includes airfare, hotel, all tickets, food, drink, cabs, bail etc.
Yep it's a dent in the pocketbook but lifes too short to miss out on this party. Life is also too short to drive a minivan and own a crappy TV but that's another topic entirely.

No but ask again after one of those Lotto Jackpots creep up and the winner is from the Lower Mainland. I'd much rather catch a football game like a Grey Cup in a place outside of Vancouver. The Dome is the only place I have ever seen a football game. I don't mind freezing for a few hours if I'm cheering on the Lions.

And I just found out that I will go to Grey Cup 07 instead of 06 because there would be no taxi or hotel fees in Toronto! (I love relatives now :bb: 8) )
