Then we can also sign Flory and go with a pair of import tackles
Picture this Sammy. Printers half rolls to his right, to the wide side of the field, with Flory pulling in front of him. Thelwell, lined up wide right runs a post. Simmons, lined up inside Thelwell, runs a post corner. Clermont, now in the slot right, runs a quick slant out.
On the short side of the field Jackson runs a drag route to the inside, giving Printers another big target over the middle. Warren back side blocks and then releases into the left flat. In the meantime, with the defence sliding to Printers right side...Simon, lined up in the slot left runs his favorite post corner route.
Thelwell's post pattern freezes the free safety. Simmons offers a big target deep for Printers if he is open. But he can also throw quickly to Clermont, who is getting a clearout underneath. If he hits him with the pass quickly Clermont can catch the ball at full speed and is already pointing downfield..scary!! Printers, however, has already hit Clermont successfully earlier and he's put two defensive backs out of the game.
Instead Printers looks for Jackson, who is wide open over the middle because the middle linebacker is spying Printers. However, with the free safety frozen by Thelwell's post pattern Printers watches Simon fake the post and break back to the left corner. No one expects Printers to go backside and with his arm he throws it deep on the button as Simon doesn't break stride, catching the ball on the tip of his fingertips. The inside halfback is already ten yards behind..naturally believing that Simon would be running the post with Printers rolling right. Simon does his pose in the end zone as the crowd goes wild, as the Leos increase their lead by thirty points!!
But perhaps you prefer Dickenson. Dickenson walks up behind Reid, Flory, and Singh and barks out the signals. Chapdelaine has signaled in a crossing pattern pass play but Dickenson has told the offence he'll audible on the line. The two new import offensive tackles are massive, huge, and fast. The Leos are in the two back set, offset, with Warren left and Bwengie lined up behind Dickenson. Simmons and Simon are lined up left and Thelwell and Clermont right. Thelwell and Clermont both run quick double slants, giving Dickenson two quick targets against the blitz coming from his right.
Dickenson drops straight back behind the human wall of his offensive line. Warren steps forward, ready to double team the oppostion defence's right defensive end. On the opposite side Simmons and Simon both run double posts, with Simon taking his route deeper, going straight at the free safety while Simmons breaks his shorter..giving Dickenson the option of going underneath the saftey or over the top.
In the meantime Alexis Bwengi is looking for the blitzing linebacker. The opposition needs to keep three in the game to stop the running game that is now so proficient. He locates him, coming from Dickenson's blind side, from the outside, as teams have given up trying to blitz the Leos inside...the human wall of the offensive line is like steel and has no cracks.
Warren pretends to block the blitzing linebacker but leaves him for Bwengi...who at 235 pounds steps up and drives his helmet into the linebacker, knocking him ass over tea kettle.
Dickenson has glanced at Simon to freeze the free safety, taken a short step to his right and looked at Thelwell and Clermont running their quick slants, ready to throw if the blitz is coming but the linebacker has dropped off on his right side.
Dickenson then picks up Warren on his left. Warren, already outside of the middle linebacker streaks up the left sideline. The middle linebacker, frozen by Dickenson's right step and glance to his right, has no chance to get over to Warren. Warren continues up the left sideline, and with that half second of extra time, Dickenson lofts the ball up and Warren runs under it, the middle linebacker 20 yards behind him in futile chase, as Warren dances into the end zone untouched.!!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah......to dream of the possibilities!!!!
