Heading into Christmas, Canucks have extended the points streak to 9 games with a huge 7-4 win over San Jose. There was a lot of controversy with Rick Tocchet's benching of Andrei Kuzmenko several times this season. But upon his return, he immediately scored the first two Canuck goals. At 49 points, the Canucks have sole position of #1 in the league mostly in part of the 135 GF. :beauty:

Who would have thought about that at the start of the season. :towel:

Good for the Canucks to rebound from their loss in St. Louis and to avenge their previous loss to the Devils with a 6-4 win in New Jersey in which they outshot them 41-25. It's their first win at Prudential Center in more than 10 years. Good performance by Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller with a pair of goals each along with a great wraparound goal by Conor Garland to preserve a 2-goal lead at the end of the second period.

Great four game winning streak on the road with a pair of wins in New York, then in Pittsburgh. :good:

;canucks: should be first in the league right now had it not been a sudden resurgence of the Winnipeg Jets who has become the biggest western conference rival and replaced the Las Vegas Golden Knights which has faded somewhat. Over the last two years, the biggest rival on the football field was Winnipeg, and this and continued on to the ice.

Congratulations to Elias Pettersson in that he became the very first player in NHL history to score the game-winning goal in four straight road games. :beer:

Low scoring 1-0 win by the Canucks over the Buffalo Sabres. Elias Pettersson didn't score the lone goal so his 4-game visiting goal-winning streak ends. With a Winnipeg Jets loss today, the ;canucks: have reclaimed the top spot in the league. :good:

And congratulations to five Canucks - Boeser, Demko, Hughes, Miller, and Pettersson along with coach Rick Tocchet for being selected to play in the 2024 NHL All-Star Game. No other team has this many players selected in the all-star game. :rockin:

The Canucks are heading into the all-star break with a 11-game points streak with a record 9-0-2 since their last regulation loss. Great comeback from 3 goal deficit to win in OT led by Brock Boeser hat trick. Good luck to Boeser, Demko, Hughes, Miller, and Pettersson along with coach Rick Tocchet in the all-star game. May one of them win game MVP.

Canucks are #1 in their division, conference, and the league. May this momentum continue after the all-star break.

I have to admit, I have kept waiting for the shoe to drop and it doesn't. I'm beginning to think that this may be the best Canucks Team we have ever seen. Not just based on their record but because of how they have been winning these games. I don't think I have ever seen a Canucks team pressure the opposition as well when they are are on the forecheck. As well, the distribution of threat seems really good on this team and comes from different lines at different points which makes it very hard to defend. The contributions from players that haven't to this point in their careers been considered offensively dangerous has been a constant source of surprise as well. The pure skill of the top players seems to have improved everybody else. I don't know how they will fare in the playoffs as that kind of game is of a different sort but they have been enjoyable to watch and it has been fun watching all the experts in the league slowly become believers in a team that much wasn't expected of at the beginning of the year. A nice change for long suffering Canucks fans to be sure. Nice to see the Jets having a great year too. And although I hate the Oilers, I have to give them a ton of credit for turning their season around in a major way.
Tell me how long must a fan be strong? Ans. Always.

To honour the Lunar New Year, a new design for the Canucks logo referencing the Year of the Dragon.
Although the league does not allow such theme-based uniforms anymore.

I must admit the leadership and coaching in Rick Tocchet and co. are doing a great job.

This trade looks good for them as no doubt he isnt' scoring much as there's no Matthew Tkachuk and Johnny Gaudreau to feed him this year with the latter in a worse positioned team than the Flames.

Good to see that the ;canucks: have picked up where they left off with a 3-2 win in Carolina to extend their points streak to 12 games. And just as importantly, Elias Lindholm has immediately showed his presence to the team after the trade by scoring the first two goals.

Neither the San Jose Sharks nor the Golden State Warriors played today, so no foreshadowing of the fate of the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl today. And of course, Kansas City doesn't have a NHL or NBA team so no foreshadowing on the fate of the Chiefs either.

The current line of Elias Pettersson, Elias Lindholm, and Nils Höglander are very hot now. Will they be the next IKEA line?
Or how about naming it the Tre Kronor line after the national emblem of Sweden?
