Some first reactions ...

Hunter Steward for All-Star left tackle.

Lulay for Man of Courage, over and over ...

Burnham

Manny

Ronnie Yell
............

I thought Mark W and Khari put some stuff in there that Wally does not usually allow. And I thought we saw modern-day game prep from O'Shea, with some positive results, trick plays, detailed prep. But he went to the dice table once too often. Ease up on calling the trick plays, but stay with the detailed prep. Wally takes a keen interest in ST coaching, and it shows. Old school. O'Shea pulls out the stops. He took advantage of the rule book on the Sleeper play.

Huge momentum shift after O'Shea fooled us on the Sleeper play.

Helluva game. Amazing. Heart, slow down.

The CFL is crazy for its excitement level. Crazy. And good. God luv it.

If anybody wonders why Rainey didn't take a knee it would be for point differential. Stull risky though

Gotta give credit to Mark W and the D. Especially Lee and Yell. Dealt with adversity and came up big in the end.

And to Travis Lulay. I had doubts, but he is proving me wrong. Pretty good play for a back up.

We got schooled in special teams again. But Wpg got too smart for their own good. Stupid gamble by O'Shea at the end. Ty Long looking pretty good. Mr. Automatic on FGs. Rainey not doing much so far.

Exciting game!

when wpg scored their last TD, I was like, that's ok, lions can get 2 more. Just wasn't sure about the 2 pt or if the D would step up and get it down.

good on them to do so

Testament to guts and courage ...

Give up 4 TDs in a row. Momentum has us dead in the water.

Q4 ... Lulay to Manny. Lulay to Burnie. Lulay to Nick. Lulay to Manny. TD. And we start the comeback.

Lulay runs 14 yards for a TD behind the awesome blocking of Hunter Steward. Lulay to Manny for 2. Tie game.

O'Shea brilliant gambles, but just the wrong place on the field to get too cocky. Thank you very much for that momentum changer the Lions were in need of.

Rainey is just too good to let teams cover down field like this game and last weeks as well, time to adjust.

Speaking of adjusting, the Bombers owned the game when they went to their underneath passing game. Combine that with a couple of DB's injuries and the night started looking very long from a Lions perspective. Finally the Lions D reeled in the backfield catches and even got the all important INT to secure the lead for good.

Fun game for the Lions fans in the end, with still two more games s the Bombers in their barn to determine which team will fight for a home playoff berth with either Calgary or Edmonton. I still think those two teams are better at this point.

Well I am about F-Bombed out. It is hard to be irate when you eventually win a game like this so I will try to be balanced.

Lulay
Iainuzzi
Burnham
Arceneaux
Ronnie Yell
Chris Rainey
Coming back when it looked nigh impossible

Special Teams :thdn:
Whomever the player was that took a major penalty in the 2nd Q after stopping the Bombers on a drive that eventually led to a TD :thdn:
Totally lettting the Bombers stay in the game everytime, they started to out distance them.:thdn::thdn:

There were some neither here nor theres as well. The DLine. Got some pressure but other times looked pretty ineffective.

Someone should tell Chris Rainey that going down is ok when the game is over. If he had fumbled on that run back of his, they might have had another chance.

Sol looked his usual good self.

Special teams did not look especially good tonight. Blocked Punt, some poor kick coverage on the other hand some timely huge kicks from Long and good on FG's. Looks to be a real keeper.

Let's be honest though. This was a game that we should have been in control of. We had chances to put them down and keep them down but a stupid penalty, caught napping on a FG, a blocked punt for a TD. Without those plays plus the pick six, the Bombers aren't in this game. The only reason we eventually won was because of a mind boggling decision on the fake punt on your 26 yard line. Who does that? They sacrificed a ton of field position when essentially they were in control. No other coach in this league makes that call.

We should send a thank you card to O'Shea and some flowers as well.

Rainey finally with a big return....when he should have just sat down.
I just hope he didn't ignore what the coaches said to do when he ran it out. He looked frustrated most of the night but don't get selfish.....
We are not taking advantage of his talent. The Kid is a huge weapon, as we all know.

And when Chris Williams is ready, will we be better off, or will we have more than we can properly utilize and keep motivated? This fan is happy to have CW on our roster, but this fan is not sure we will have a plan to maximize our results from an abundance of talent.
.........

As Sir P notes, it was not all good or great. But at this time going to emphasize the positive. As always with football it is all there on the tape.

Full credit to the coaches, Mark W and Khari especially, for their hard work. Full credit to the players as always. They put their bodies and pride on the line in front of the audience.

IMO ...

Back later.

Got to wonder if BC Place has gotten into Medlock's and O'Shea's heads?
O'Shea's needless gamble in their own end and Medlock coming up short from that distance. Got to wonder....
